Saints vs Colts: The unavoidable comparison has begun.
The Saints and the Colts are the only NFL teams left undefeated at 7-0 , so its unavoidable for the media to start to figure out who is the better team, when both teams are playing their best football it is tricky to compare them especially when they have played against different schedules but im writing this to throw my humble opinion into the air.
My take on Offense so far(is early this could change):
Both QBs are having great numbers when they play good so lets look at how are their numbers when they have a bad day : Manning bad day = 347yrds 0 TD; Bress bad day= 3int and a couple of fumbles, Colts with the edge here. If we need to rely on the running game to win, saints have a slight edge, but none of this offenses are based on running.
My take on Defense so far(is early this could change):
Both defenses are playing great but they operate different.
Colts D = fewest points allowed and multiple 3 and outs , last game a complete shutdown of the offense in the 2nd half.
Saints D they allow 3tds per game on avg and rank 15th in ypg and look good cuz they compensate with pick 6s and that my friends are fortunate events, last game int on their 1yrd line is an example of many.
what is better a defense that let the opponent get to their 1 yrd line and relies on an int to save the day or a defense that prevents their opponents to get into the red zone?
I believe if each team play each other to their strengths and weaknesses as they are right now the Colts should have the advantage.

read the What If?
Back when I was picking beans in Guatemala, we used to make fresh coffee, right off the trees I mean. That was good. This is shit but, hey, I'm in a police station.

I think this is a litle biased, but not too far off.
Don’t think I’d call the Saints TOs lucky (not the picks anyway). We’ve also gotten picks in or near the EZ recently.
My guess is that if the two teams played 100 times, the Colts would win 53-55 times. That’s a skinny enough advantage that in a single game on a neutral field (hint hint hint) it’s a toss-up. One play, as they often say, could make a huge difference. Shockey (does anyone else think he’s the NFL’s version of Mickey Rourke? He just looks… scuzzy and acts like a tool.) is playing as well as ever, and that’s saying something. We SHOULD get healthier (Gonzo, the revolving CBs) later in the year. No idea about NO’s health status.
That town would go absolutely apeshit if these two teams met in the SB. The Mannings would have to move to another planet for peace and quiet. (about the same if the NYG made it vs the Colts)
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.

Colts win a majority
The reality here is that the Colts would crush the Saints in a heads up as they have the last 3 times we’ve played them. The cold hard facts are that the Saints have not faced any kind of real offense outside of the Falcons. Teams like the Vikings, Colts, Patriots, and even the Chargers, who can light it up thru the air, are going to dominate the Saints…
