Colts Haven't Played Anyone?
While the Indianapolis Colts are 7-0, there has been a lot of criticism that they haven't played any decent teams and that this somehow makes their perfect record mean less. Ignoring the fact that they've beaten playoff teams from the 2008 season, I'd like to point out that the Colts have already beaten a playoff team from this season. Having swept the NFC West, the Colts have recorded a victory over a team guaranteed to hold a playoff berth at the close of the 2009 season. We may not yet know which team this will be but we can be certain that their "W" column is one lower thanks to Indy. How's that for some in-depth analysis?

Who cares what people think
People will criticize and belittle the Colts until they win another Super Bowl. The guys who get the media love are the “Flavor of the Month” teams like the Saints. Colts have been there, done that. to say that Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, Jeff Saturday, Charlie Johnson, Dwight Freeney, Antoine Bethea, Bob sanders, Kelvin Hayden, Gary Brackett, Robert Mathis, Joseph Addai, Dallas Clark, Marlin Jackson, and Raheem Brock have “not played anyone” is simple ignorance and should be ignored.

Actually...
Even when we win another super bowl, unless its against an undefeated team – the media will some how devalue it. As they do superbowl 41 (i.e. the “lackluster” or “lucky” bears).
We are a heartland team and therefore the media will always be against us. Just like the media is against republicans ;)

Eh, not really...
Most people just believed (for good reason) that the Superbowl that year was essentially the AFC title game between the Colts and the Pats.

The superbowl was the AFC title game. And if you ask anyone who remembers that game they’ll tell you that the Colts dominated the Pats in the 2nd half, and that they were clearly were the best team in the league that year.

Okay, then. Here's my case for the Colts being the best team in the AFC:
The Colts beat the Dolphins, the Dolphins beat the Jets, the Jets beat the Patriots, the Patriots beat the Ravens, and the Ravens beat the Broncos. Therefore, the Colts are the best team in the AFC.

A = B = C, does not equal C = B = A

It seems I’m the victim of sarcasm’s failure to properly operate via written word. However, I do think it’s worth noting that, while the victories came against teams who may be a little thin in the win column, some of those same teams have put up decent fights against “elite” teams.
Thank God for Mayflower.

thats a point well taken there
just proves that a win against any NFL team, barring the Lions, Titans, Bucs, Chiefs, Rams and ’Skins, is a legitimate win.

all wins are legit
in the nfl all wins are legit. it doesnt matter who you beat for the BCS standings. all that matters is the number of wins for division winners, wild card, and playoff seedings. playoff wins are really what matters.
either side of the arguement is worthless. its all just for fun.

If the Titans get back to playing D
And stuffing Chris Johnson down people’s throats, their final record might look a bit better than it does right now.

I said the same thing about the Titans last year
Who cares if they’re 7-0 they haven’t played anyone yet! It wasn’t the Titans’ fault that they had to play lousy teams like Jax, KC and Cincy during that during their winning streak, but they played whoever was put in front of them and beat them. It’s the same thing with the Colts this year; they coudln’t help it that they played the NFC West, the worst division in the NFL, but they went out there and dominated those teams.
So I’ve stopped using the “haven’t played anyone” excuse. Like Bleeding Blue said, one of those teams will win their division and there’s a small chance that Jax maybe in contention for a wild card spot…a very small chance.

The media is saying the same thing about the Giants
To be at 5-0, they beat the Redskins, Cowboys, Buccaneers, Chiefs and Raiders. Once they hit the Saints they started losing, adding two more losses to the Cardinals and Eagles. We’ll see how the Broncos respond after losing their first game of the season last week to the Ravens.
Keep the faith!

Bulletproof analysis, then
The Colts are the best because they’re awesome.
See? Bulletproof.

Bulletproof? Really?

Dang, you’re right.
Now a proud annoyance on Stampede Blue, 18to88, Indy Football Report, and Phil B's blog.
Man, I need a life...
Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: Viz Media (The creators of my absolute favorite show of all-time and inspiration to my avatar, Naruto) just announced a partnership with the channel Disney XD to bring the English-dubbed episodes of Naruto Shippuden (The continuation of the Naruto series) to that station with a new episode airing each week, starting, well, NOW. With the series recording I just put on it, this is one of the greatest days I've had in a long time. I'm not kidding. I love the show that much.

The SAD TRUTH IS AS LONG AS THE PATS AREN’T WINNING THERE WILL BE A PROBLEM AS FAR AS THE MEDIA IS CONCERNED. Im just waiting for them to come up with some mess like we were cheating or the defense is using steroids, when the real issue is they don’t want to see everybody on the same page kicking ass, they want seperation and devision.
