A Thought on Jackson's Injury
The recent news about Marlin Jackson being done for the rest of the season has me thinking. First, I have to wonder if he's played his last game as a Colt. I really like him as a player and think that, when healthy, he and Kelvin Hayden are one of the best CB tandems in the league. But with the emergence of Jerraud Powers and Jacob Lacey, it seems that Jackson may be expendable. If I'm not mistaken, this is the last year of his contract and I would not be surprised at all to see the Colts let him go in free agency. Second, who seems to be the heir apparent to the nickel spot that Jackson has been playing in (albeit on a limited basis) this season? I know it could very well be Lacey or Tim Jennings but what do you guys think of trying Melvin Bullitt out in this spot? The guy's a real playmaker and has shown that he has what it takes to be a starter in the NFL. I have to think that he might be a viable option here as well.

Bullitt would be great
but he’s the starting safety again. Secondary’s looking real, REAL thin. We can’t have another injury there.

^^ My nomination for understatement of the year
How can you not love a team that does this?

Bullitt is our SS for the rest of the season. Especially with Bobzilla out. CB is probably a little outside of Melvin’s playmaking ability. Keep him at SS so he can continue his head crackin ways…….
