Bob Sanders done for year

Sweet jesus. Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings once again, but I just saw Schefter on ESPN say that Bob has a torn biceps tendon that will require season-ending surgery. Don't know what else to say. What a horrible week. Go Bullitt. Thank god we can outscore people. This is getting f***ing ridiculous. Will Bob play for us again? Who knows. So much for the tremendous depth in our secondary. We still have excellent players, but the depth is pretty much gone....

Caldwell indicates that we don’t know how long Bob would have to be out, but Schefter is reporting the surgery as season-ending.

what the heck is going on.

and schefter by what i heard said if he needed surgery it would be season ending but he doesn’t know what injury at the time there was if any. if it is a bicep then that is the second player the other being Hagler to have that injury what the heck is going on

WTH?!?!

I will be drinking heavily tonight. And tomorrow. And Sunday.

How can you not love a team that does this?

by LovinBlue on Nov 6, 2009 1:12 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

I'll be drinking Sunday too....

probably heavily,…..celebrating a Colts victory. Remember, we’ve been kicking serious butt up to this point in the season without those guys…..so I’m not so sure how big a deal it is. And, we get Gonzo and Hayden back in the fourth quarter of the season. Don’t panic everybody!

I'm at a loss for words.

I need medication.

Hang in there Lori

This game vs Houston will let us know if we should start to panic.

Quite honestly this doesnt surprise me at all...

Anymore I look at Bob playing as a luxury. All this does is make me look at his long term viability as a player on this team.

When it rains...

This is getting to be a little much. Maybe they’ll use one of the open roster spots to sign Edge?

Thank God for Mayflower.

by Bleeding Blue in Bengals Country on Nov 6, 2009 1:20 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

good thinking

I would definently use some of these free spots for edge

by metal_militia on Nov 6, 2009 1:21 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Totally disagree

We no longer have the luxury of adding an offensive player, unless it’s someone on the line. We need defensive depth.

I dont think safey is a huge depth issue

even though sanders is out now. The only portion I feel is problematic is corner depth since there are only a few of them left. By my count, we only have three (4 if you want to include rushing). We have two open sports left. I think it one more corner should suffice and we could (well at least I would like it) use the last space for James.

Just seeing Edge

in an Indy uniform would be the perfect catalyst for a superbowl run and championship. Edge wants one and knows his best shot is with the Colts. Hopefully, we could get him at a low cost.

by Ayrshire on Nov 6, 2009 1:33 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

although, I think the Colts

will win a championship without him, but I’d love to see Edge be an active member of the Colts when it happens.

I think he would settle

for the Vet minimum which is 1 million. He knows he’s not what he use to be, but I think for a chance at the SB he would take it.

Cody Glenn was activated from the PS on November 4th

There are 53 on the active roster (including Sanders for the time being).

I have a feeling that Bob Sanders and Marlin Jackson

Have played their last game for the Indianapolis Colts. Unless Jackson signs for real cheap and Sanders restructures his deal.

DID SOMEONE SAY CHAMPIONSHIP

by BROWNdude on Nov 6, 2009 1:32 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

I think Jackson will be gone

Sanders im sure will be more than willing to restructure.

by metal_militia on Nov 6, 2009 1:38 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Im with you

about Sanders. He loves this team and knows and this team knows how much of a playmaker he is. They will get this settled and 21 will be back next year

fact: Colts starters are falling injured like flies.
media: wow this means the Colts could suck and could struggle ,forget other news we need to publish this ASAP,now this is some news , it’ s BIG!!!!

Lock the rest of the team up and don't let em

leave their rooms. Also, remove all sharp objects from their quarters. No running with scissors is allowed.

by tim55 on Nov 6, 2009 2:04 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

more importantly

lock them AWAY from the strength and conditioning staff

TWO torn biceps injuries in the same week? Sounds like nobody had them go through the proper stretching – ARGH!!!!

How can you not love a team that does this?

Sanders has to go or get restructured

In his 6 seasons as a player, he’s played in more than 6 games twice. Okay, he’s a great player when he plays, no doubt about that. But the question that always remains is will he play? Restructure his contract because in this league there’s no room for guys who hold their team at their mercy and should be allowed to get away with it.

by dnyyanks55 on Nov 7, 2009 4:36 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

What else is new. This dude has not been the same since the Super Bowl. I am glad he has not played a lot this season, because it gave the other guys a chance. Bob, I love you bro, but your too injury prone.
