not if they work
defense dont expect them and when you run them (even if your not successful) the defense has to respect that you could be running it…know what I mean?

He means the playcalling. Very pass heavy. Bill Polian said on the radio that he wishes that he ran with more success in the first half. Also said that Addai ran very well, north to south, and tough. He said the first half problems were “definitely” not Addai’s fault and that he finished every run.

Just wish my opponent didn’t have him. I was hoping Fitzy would have gotten 27 more yards – and maybe another TD. He would have gotten a 15 point bonus for hitting 150 yds. That would help, even though he got me 33 points.

What scares me is, We only did what we did offensively because of the penalties Houston made
by INDYCOLTSROCK18 on Nov 8, 2009 5:28 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
we did alright in the first half but it is the second half that worries me. we just didn't execute
and we couldn’t pick up 3rd downs but our D did great exept in the second half they struggled some on stopping the other team on third downs where they usually do well this season
GO COLTS!!! 09 IS OURS!!!
by ANGELSFAITH on Nov 8, 2009 5:30 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Colts pass Defense is a little overrated
Our Pass Defense starts with our pass rush. If we don’t have any, teams can pick apart our Pass Defense
by INDYCOLTSROCK18 on Nov 8, 2009 5:31 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
That's most defenses...sorry
There is no such thing as a shutdown corner this side of Nnamdi Asomugha. The pass rush is the #1 priority for every D. If they don’t prioritize it and excel at it, they won’t be good. You can write that one down.
Well, I guess I already did.
I also wish I had time and motivation to blog at Speed Blue Nation
by Bullard47 on Nov 8, 2009 5:33 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
But also. receivers tend to get open alot against us, which has nothing to do with pass rush
by INDYCOLTSROCK18 on Nov 8, 2009 5:34 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
No, it does.
Any quarterback against any D can complete a pass if he has 4-5 seconds to throw. There is really no physical way to cover 4 or 5 guys that long.
I also wish I had time and motivation to blog at Speed Blue Nation
by Bullard47 on Nov 8, 2009 5:35 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I thought the D was good...
the Texans would take a three step drop, and throw it right on the third foot. Andre Johnson would then jump. catch the ball… and then first down.
No other team can stop that either…
Go Colts!

we have to do better on third downs on our offense. i can not understand why addai is the only one running the ball we shoudl be using at least one of the other guys to mix it up it is to hard to do it all by your self. i think if others would have shared the carries we may have done better on the run game and therefor done better on third downs

Addai was a beast today.
It’s true that he needs Brown to spell him and get that change-of-pace, but Addai was awesome. I was really impressed, and I already loved him. Polian also went out of his way to praise Addai on the post-game radio show multiple times.

he ran good today but didnt in short yardage today. just seems like with brown
he has more power up the middle and a little more drive up the middle. addai often seemes to try and get throush the whole in the middle when it is there then cut instead of just powering forward. he is good at cutting but that is more for going ot the outside unless you got a big whole but when there isn’t that you need to jsut go straight ahead

Hi all
Anyone hoping that Coyer dials up some surprises for next week? I have a bad feeling that NE is going to dink and dunk all over us with that midget Welker, draw us in, and throw the deep ball to Moss.
I’m already sick thinking about it and trying to find a good excuse to be out of the house while it happens to avoid the insufferable.
