Thursday Night Football Open Thread - 12/10/09

I'm trying to help ou t shake and BBS tonight, and give my sick self something to do.  So, here is your Thursday night open thread!  Please note that I have spent the majority of the past 36 hours sleeping, coughing, and reading ICanHasCheezburger FAILBlog and upnextinsports.  So I am all the way LOLed up.

Bring your A game tonight folks.

Also, I still lack proper internet facilities in the new abode, so I am connected at the astonishing speed of an EDGE cellular network.  Therefore, I will not be watching the game itself.   Let's have a good, clean open thread tonight and may all be merry and cheerful!

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors.

reporting that the Colts will sign a backup QB next week. Name that I really like that i forgot was out there: Jeff Garcia. No real deep threat, but he’s a legit NFL QB that could actually win some games.

Never doubt Peyton Manning, he’ll make you look silly

I second that

And, in all honesty, after we lock up home field and bench peyton, a proven & seasoned vet like Garcia could very capably helm the Colts 2nd unit to an undefeated final few games. I love this move if it happens.

I'd be ok with that

Though I don’t think he has the arm to make some of the throws needed in this offense. But neither did Sorgi.

We won’t need one. I dont care about 16-0.

As long as we have Peyton we will always have a chance to win.

anyone watch Sounds of the Game or SoundFX

whichever one it is, on the NFL Network, of the Steelers game v OAK?

It was the greatest thing, ever. Mike Tomlin was like a standup comedian with a fifth of vodka in him for the first 3 quarters, laughing, hamming it up, hitting on roethlisberger, etc… and then the 4th quarter he was like the same drunk comedian on a dingy in the ocean during a hurricane… looked green, maybe about to puke. Was kick ass. Totally unprepared for the game.

Hey

So I was talking to LB the other day and I thought it might be a good idea to have some of the Naptowners meet up this weekend. She said for “coffee”, and I was like alright. But I don’t really drink coffee.

But I do know a place that HAS good coffee and other stuff that is AWESOME and that I love. This place is the South Bend Chocolate Company Cafe on Monument Circle. Who here would be down to do a big meet up downtown on Saturday?

i havent seen this brought up before

but am i the only one that thinks the NFL Network opening for these games (where the people create shadowy objects by climbing on top of each other) is kinda lame? I mean, for a football game? If I’m watchin the wiggles, that’d be cool, but I’m watchin football, so I only wanna see one of two things: big hits or boobs, and I’m seeing neither until Matt Millen comes on to introduce the game.

he has his moments

he’ll stick a good insight or two in there but otherwise he is as bad as they come. I don’t remember him being this bad but he’s basically worse than Dierdorf 95% of the time. He has no clue what he’s talking about and loves to go back to his catch phrase of “he recognizes the coverage, two deep man-under” regardless of the coverage. He also loves “a hat on a hat.”

He just said “I must be missing something.” No kidding, Matt.
