Thoughts on the game

What was going on with Marshall?

Hate to be telling a 13-0 team how to play, but come on Coyer. At the very least give Jennings some help with Marshall, if not give him to someone else (Eg  Any of the 3 DBs you have ABOVE Jennings on the depth chart). Yeah I know he got an interception, but it was a bad play by Orton not a good play by Jennings, and the guy gave up 21 catches to Marshall, thats not good no matter how you put it. We have had some trouble covering no. 1 recievers all year (what team doesnt?) but that part of the Colts' game today was a joke. Could easily give a loss in the playoffs with a weakness like that.

Manning's game wasnt as bad as the stats show

Two of his 3 interceptions were tipped balls, and its hard to really blame him for that. If we take those 2 passes out we get 20/40 for 220 yards 4 TDS and 1 INT which is a pretty decent game. He really is 'the Man'-ing

Special Teams

Im surprised McAfee isnt getting more attention, the guys doing a great job punting and doing kickoffs, good hangtime and distance. Also has anyone been noticing Keiaho on STs alot of is it just me?

Those were my thoughts just after watching, what did you all think?

if you hadn't noticed

Our DB (powers and bullit) were injured for most of the game, leaving jennings, hayden, and lacy to rotate around covering 15

I did notice

But when hes having a game like that, dont put jennings on him at all, never mind for at least 1/3 of the plays. Or double him up if your so keen to play man.

Keaho just

Does everything asked of him at a competent or better level. I still think he’s a good linebacker.

There seemed to be alot of hate

too Keaho at certain points, but this year hes done well filling in when hes had to and hes played well on STs. Id have to agree with you

Yeah...

Keiaho, I think he can be a good outside linebacker. I don’t think he’s as good inside though (obviously).

He filled in great for Brackett

earlier this year (I think it was the Arizona game). It’s nice to know that he’s back there ready in case something bad happens. Depth is good.

Keiaho has been great on special teams

Never doubt Polian.

Good Defense

Although Jennings did give up many plays, I think that this game has helped show how much are defense has improved. They got more yards, less turnovers and had a record setting 21 catches for Marshall but still only got 16 points.

On an unrelated note, does anyone know where I can find the post-game interviews with the players? Also, does anyone know what was wrong with Clark after his second TD?

Yeah I suppose

Defence has clearly improved, the offence was doing nothing but handing the ball over and the D stepped up and allowed only 16 points.

Post game interviews are often on Nfl.com and Colts.com and it looked to me just like Clark was winded, so I wouldnt be too worried

Muir

Haven’t seen anyone talking about it, but D. Muir has been a MAN this year. He posts a lot of tackles for a DT, and he’s been very strong taking on blocks. I’m very impressed with him.
