Monday "Practice Estimation"

Thursday night game means that to comply with the leagues requirement of 3 injury reports teams need to give a "Practice Estimation" on Monday, reporting which players they'd expect to hold out of practice if they were conducting a practice today. As you'd expect for the day after a game, the lists are long. Really it's more telling to look at who isn't listed. In the Colts case that list is actually shorter and we'll start with that.

Players Not Listed (count on them playing)

Curtis Painter, Mike Hart, Jacob Tamme, Gijon Robinson, Dallas Clark, Austin Collie, Hank Baskett, Micheal Toudoze, Mike Pollak, Jeff Saturday, Ryan Lilja, Antonio Johnson, Fili Moala, Erwin Baldwin, Philip Wheeler, Freddy Keiaho, Ramon Humber, Cody Glenn, T.J. Rushing, Jaime Silva, Devon Hall, Justin Snow, Pat McAfee, Matt Stover

Players that would've rested (likely playing)

Dwight Freeney, Antoine Bethea

The Injured (who knows?)

Joseph Addai (knee), Gary Brackett (foot), Raheem Brock (back), Donald Brown (chest), Melvin Bullitt (shoulder), Keyunta Dawson (knee), Kyle DeVan (shin), Ryan Diem (hamstring), Eric Foster (back), Aaron Francisco (ankle), Pierre Garçon (knee), Anthony Gonzalez (knee), Kelvin Hayden (knee), Tim Jennings (ankle), Charlie Johnson (foot), Jacob Lacey (Biceps), Peyton Manning (glute), Robert Mathis (quad), Daniel Muir (hamstring), Jerraud Powers (Hamstring), Jamey Richard (Shoulder), Tom Santi (hand), Clint Session (calf), Chad Simpson (back), Tony Ugoh (hip), Adam Vinatieri (knee), Reggie Wayne (foot).

the great news?

i have a feeling this will be Rashean Mathis’ first game back for the jags! Who’s excited to see a closer-than-should be game where Mathis gets away with rape 22 times and laughs about it while be lauded as a great corner back?? I know I am!

Never doubt Peyton Manning, he’ll make you look silly
Joseph Addai is a good running back.
Im a douchebag, an asshole, and I'm rarely right.

Very Patriots-esque, if you ask me. (wink wink)

It looked like his ankle got a little tweaked to me.

He said he caught an elbow to his stomach from a LB when he released into the route

He held his breath from the time he took the shot until he secured the pass. In other words, he had the wind knocked out of him.

I figure that all of the PS guys will start. Except Peyton. He’ll play one series.

BTW, sorry no power rankngs last week – had stomach flu – was praying for God to take me early. Better now, I should get them up tomorrow. ;-)

I know how you feel PTB

I had the good ol’ H1N1. And it was pretty much the worst 2 1/2 days of my life. But I still open threaded. I am committed like that :-)

I also wish I had time and motivation to blog at Speed Blue Nation

Painter won't start

Peyton always plays at least a series to keep the consecutive starts streak going.

Luck is probability taken personally, clutch is probability attributed to individuals.

It's shocking how much can slip your perception

The sad thing is

I would actually like to see what some of these players can do at these positions. Namely the DEs, the WRs(would like to see if Collie can play outside, and what’s in the Baskett), the OLBs, and what Hart will look like with 15+ carries.

I also wish I had time and motivation to blog at Speed Blue Nation

Peyton's behind is STILL hurt?

If he’s playing in pain, it might explain a few things.

90 % of the people in the list of "the injured" if we

had a game would play it is just little nicks. and that is what they have been listing you noticed the last few weeks the change from thursday to fridays report. im not to worried the one that would worry me the most although i was told he came back is bullitt

GO COLTS!!! 09 IS OURS!!!

Completely random question

Ccould we forfeit a game? Note: I do NOT remotely think this will happen. I’m just curious if it is prohibited by the rules. (I couldn’t find anything on google)

I could see polian being like, we just don’t have enough players to play. We can’t sign any more. We don’t need to win. Let’s not play.

well

they played the chargers last year with less than the required amount of active players…so I would guess no you cant forfeit

Bob Sanders does not play Hide-and-Seek, He plays HIDE and PRAY-HE-DOES-NOT FIND-YOU!

Brian Witherspoon

The Jags just released him, corner/kick returner. Anyone know if he’s not a piece of sh*t?

by DClark#44 on Dec 14, 2009 7:12 PM EST via mobile reply actions

if he’s not good enough for the sparkle kittens, I doubt we’d want him

by sandsnake on Dec 14, 2009 7:25 PM EST up reply actions

He's an okay PR/KR

though usually at best he can only get it to the 30-20 range.

Ridiculously fast

But doesn’t do much with it. Runs a 4.28, I think.

by Adam Stites on Dec 14, 2009 7:37 PM EST up reply actions

btw, sorry guys

we’re going to lose on thursday, and it has nothing to do with the injury report:( My kid had his first concert tonight and I had to shave the neck beard to attend… the last two times i trimmed was after the tenn game and then after SF games (you can look up what happened those 2 weeks). Needless to say, we’re fucked.
