best bar/place in indy to watch the game?
Hi guys! I need your help , me and my wife are long overdue to have a night out of ourselves. We have a baby and he just turned 1 and we decided that I think it will be ok to leave him with his aunt for an overnight! We are from Louisville and planning to spend an overnight in Indianapolis during the divisional round game next month! I don't have any budget for the tickets so we are just planning to hang out at a bar and cheer with colts fans from there! ANy great suggestions?

bar
Jillian’s is a nice bar/restaurant if you’re looking to be downtown. it’s just a few blocks south of Monument Circle on Meridian and is only a few blocks away from LOS. Blue Crew Sports Grill is a very popular place on the far north side of the city.
B-Dubs
I plan on hanging with some friends at B-Dubs to watch the game. Thursdays are Boneless Wing Night.

bar
its not downtown but there is a bar on the northside actually called bluecrew bar and grill specifically designed for colts fans….
Two weekends ago
I watched the college games at Champps at Circle City Centre Mall downtown. I assume they’d play the Colts game on the big multi-monitor display, and the other games on the other TVs around the bar. Given the line out the door when I left, I suggest you get there early to claim a spot.
How can you not love a team that does this?
+1
Champs is a cool place to go.
If you are in Broad Ripple outside of game time, drop by Boogie Burger and get a monster boogie. =) mmmm……just dont forget your heart medicine.

Those are all fine suggestions from my fellow Colts fans, but I would suggest the RAM brewery.
The food is good, there are plenty of TV’s, the bar is huge so you won’t feel like you are crowded, and the best thing that it has going for it is that it has its own lineup of beer. That is something Champps doesn’t have. You might have one in Louisville so you might be familiar with it.
I’m not local to Indy either and this seems to be the best place to hang out. If you want more local flavor try the Pub or Scotty’s… (By Conseco) but these bars aren’t as nice. They are full of good people though.
Depending on what side of town you are staying.
Indy has some pretty awesome non-chain restaurants you could check out.
I assume you are coming up the night before so. If you are into that sort of thing you can check out

Coincidentally there is a review of the Ram (recommended by Levante above) right on the front page as of today. Ram would seems like it would be a cool place to watch the game, but I personally havent been there for one. I do agree that the beer is pretty damn good.
Good luck, I hope you have a great time while you are in town.
Another Downtown suggestion
Kilroy’s just opened their 1st Indianapolis location a few weeks ago. It’s on Georgia just a block up from Conseco. Great seating and tons of screens. Also, someone above mentioned Scotty’s, both their downtown and 96th street locations are great. Good crowds, big beer lists, and lots of screens. Most booths even have their own mini-lcds.
Spencer's
My favorite is Spencer’s Tavern on West St just south of the stadium. They have good local brews on tap and they aren’t priced like a chain. It’s small so get there early.
If you want to get crazy there’s the Slippery Noodle or the Ugly Monkey right by the stadium. I’m sure they both have a goofy high cover charge though.
If you want to be far enough away from the stadium to avoid the traffic but still close enough to walk to the Circle and celebrate, try the Living Room Lounge on Pennsylvania.
In Broadripple I like Chumley’s Grill. 50 beers on tap and a nice big screen.
