Facts about tonights game.

4057796965_92d974ac52_m_medium

Serious Game Face.

I'll start out talking the Jags game by quoting Jack Del Rio: "We don't have a cushion, we know we have to win out. We have hope. We're going to fight the good fight",

Sounds like an underdog speech, because it is. The Jags have the 26th ranked passing defense in the league, while the Colts have one of the BEST offenses.

Peyton Manning only needs 95 yds. passing to reach 4,000 for the 10th time in 11 yrs.

Dallas Clark needs 98 yds. to get his first 1000 yd. season.

Colts can tie a francise record with 14 reg. season wins, and become only the 3rd team in the NFL to open a season 14 and 0.

Robert Mathis needs 1/2 a sack to get a 4th double digit sacks season.

There's a lot going on besides the resting starters question. Speaking of which, Caldwell has said the team play or rest approach will be based on tonights win.  (If we win we keep going maybe?)

Now for the Jags: MJD hasn't had a 100 yd. rushing game in 4 starts. There's no doubt he's dangerous, but he is also VERY dinged up. With a sore knee.  We'll need to exploit that weakness.

There's also one more reason why the Colts should give it their all tonight, teams love to knock other teams out of the playoffs. It's a very good motivator.

Come on Colts Beat Jacksonvillle!

Nice post, Lori - rec'd!

I wasn’t aware of the individual records that could be broken soon by Peyton and Dallas.

I’m also surprised that MJD hasn’t had a 100-yard game in 4 starts – must admit that despite the fact that he’s always been a foe to me (with UCla and the Jags), I’ve rooted for him to do well (probably because of one of those sappy pieces they always play on ESPN about football players’ difficult pasts) .

How can you not love a team that does this?

Yeah...

The guy I am playing has him in Fantasy Football…so I need MJD to suck big time.

Theres a surprising amount going on

Considering its a supposedly ‘meaningless’ game for Colts

I agree, everyone will assume the Colts won't care.

Freeney will play tonight

according to Michael Lombardi of NFL network! I’m psyched. Mathis will be a game-time decision.

I have a candle lit in my room for Mathis.

I’m serious.

Great news about Freeney.

Hope that it is correct and if Mathis can go too, Hallelujah. There has never been a better pair
of rushing ends in the NFL on the same team, as the Colts have now in my opinion.
