Colts inactives: Adam Vinatieri, Anthony Gonzalez, Jerraud Powers, Donald Brown, Aaron Francisco, Michael Toudouze, Tom Santi, Ervin Baldwin

via BCC

Notably active are Dwight Freeney, Robert Mathis, Charlie Johnson and Eric Foster, the 4 questionable players. I guess the Colts aren't playing as conservative as I had thought.

What do all think is going to happen tonight?

Colts Play full game? I hope so cause i actually want to watch something entertaining

I think our backups are interesting.

I like watching them play. They could be our future starters.

how much does Addai play tonight?

He’s a bit part of my fantasy football playoffs and I’m nervous that he won’t be doing enough work. Any indications from anywhere?

it looks like they are serious about playing it like a normal game

and with Don out Addai will be the clear lead guy.

double digit fantasy points, nearly ever week

yep, I had a ugly week, knocked out of the playoffs in 3 leagues and had regular season losses in 2 more

still have 3 title shots alive though. Took 5th in the SB league I lost in. Gunning for 5th in 18to88, playing for 3rd in the last league I lost in.

Mathis is a surprise , when Caldwell said they were going to treat this game as the previous 13 he really mean it , at least for now it is what it seems

Im a little concerned that Freeney and Mathis are in for this game

I hope the Colts limit there playing time. To me, defensive players need the rest more than offensive players.

by metal_militia on Dec 17, 2009 7:11 PM EST reply actions

im not worried about them all playing

Hell in this league injuries can get to you even during practice. It will be the same if we get an injured player during a late regular season game or during the first round of the playoffs , for me its the same and there is no way to freeze the players until that game so let them play ,limit them if they are hurt but dont be scare of injuries, thats something that you can get even holding the clipboard.

Freeney active?

Betcha he’ll be only used situationally i.e. obvious passing downs, high pressure situations, etc.

Steve Mariucci is an idiot

The Chargers have been playing better than the Colts in the last 8 games? Hell they should since they’re beating up on the Raiders, Chiefs (twice) and a Browns team that pused them to the brink. The Colts have played against playoff-caliber teams and have found ways to win. Man, the NFL Network sucks.

Hey Colts fans.

I am actually an Eagles fan. However, like most red-blooded football enthusiasts, I play Fantasy football. I am in a pickle because I have 1 WR slot that I am torn on. Ironically, it is between Reggie Wayne and Mike Sims-Walker. I don’t know the Colts mentality of how they are going into this game and how long they will play their big guns. However, I assumed you guys would know something I didn’t about it and could point me in the right direction as far as how injured Wayne may be and such. Any suggestions?

lol good point.

I don’t really get so view Colts games so my opinion is based on stats. It’s terrible, I know. But with my final exams this week I haven’t really been able to look up stuff on this weeks fantasy lineups. Damn Thursday night games.

by soman319 on Dec 17, 2009 7:57 PM EST up reply actions

He did have a lot of receptions

but again, that stat kinda lies. All that production only generated 16 points. Overall, the Broncos didnt do much in the passing game

well perhaps it didnt

when you are looking at fantasy stats, but real life, it wasnt all too impressive

i dont wanna be blamed if you put wayne and loose

But Peyton/Wayne is a starter no matter what , i think wayne want the ball tonight hes been quiet this month against double teams and good corners , but he was the firt player to speak about wanting to play till the end so something tells me that he will play lights out but then again its your call , dont come blaming me :)

by thebossuzzi on Dec 17, 2009 7:54 PM EST up reply actions

don't worry, you are definitely not to blame.

This is my team and if I lose it’s my fault not someone who advised me.

Your last thought caught me. Did he really come out and say he wanted to play until the end? If so, then I am rolling with Wayne.

Wayne has been generally consistent all year up until a couple weeks ago. The injury reports listed him and he was getting double teamed which is why he probably had a dip in production.

Sims-Walker has been the same actually. A Waiver wire pickup, he has been a solid play most weeks up until his injury as well.
