Around SBN: Ohio State And Florida Target 2013 Receiver Recruits

I have a tremendous amount of respect for Reggie Wayne and the way that he operates," said Holt, the veteran the Jaguars brought in to help lead a young group. "I like the way he remains patient. Tonight he remained patient, he stayed in his routes, and Peyton was able to hit him with that long one. It’s just a tremendous amount of maturity on Reggie’s part, understanding how the game develops. He and Peyton there, it was something they saw that enabled him to get open."

That means something coming from Torry Holt. He’s one of the top 5 receivers of the decade, and has always been a classy and professional player. Not to mention incredibly fun to watch.

I'm getting emotional here.

What a lucky fan I am to have players like Reggie and Peyton playing for our team!

Torry Holt

one a class act, always a class act. I’ve always been a fan of his play.

The AFC South

Has the best QB, RB, and the top 2 WRs in the league in Peyton Manning, Chris Johnson, Andre Johnson, and Reggie Wayne. Interesting.

Torry is smart, unlike the NFL network staff

It is usually great to hear active players in the league comment on other players. Generally, they sum up a player in a way that makes a lot of sense to me. Their advantage is that they they play against these people and actually know them.

Now for the bad. I have been watching NFL network quite a bit since the end of the Colts game just because there has been a lot going on in the league and I must like shitty tv. There have been two examples I have personally heard where they have messed up names. The first is in a recap of the game where the man talking called Colts DB Tim Jennings, Reshard Jennings. Honest mistake, no. There are too many people I know who do not get paid to know as much as possible about the NFL that DO KNOW a players name. Not just Colts, but Bucs or Cards or any team. These people get paid to know and they don’t! Example 2, Kara on Around the League called record setting first year head coach Jim Caldwell, Joel Caldwell! Amazing! Joel??? WTF! Ok it is ok if she gets the coach of the Bill’s name wrong, maybe, but the 14-0 Indianapolis Colts!?!?!?! No excuses. This channel sucks. Bad journalism from people that get paid a lot of money to cover 1 sport. They only cover 32 teams!!!!! How hard could it be! Where is the NFL finding these chumps? Jobs.com?

I wonder if Powers will play next week...

If he does 16-0 is practically a guarantee.

not to mention

the possibility of Sanchez surpassing Manning’s rookie INT record..

How can you not love a team that does this?

BBS...

thanks for posting that comment!! Tory Holt has been a favorite of mine since I watched him play at NC State!! I always have thought he is one of the classiest, most professional receivers ever to play the game. As a matter of fact, I think Reggie has a game very similar to Tory. As KingRichard said, I would have no problem with him on my team. He may very well be my favorite all time “non Colt” player!!
