The next 2 games - Whom would you like to see?

There has been much speculation and conversation about what the Colts are going to do in the next two games. This post is not about the games we play, rather which players, who we have not seen much of this year, would you like to see? I will be looking for more of Donald Brown, Hank Baskett, Tom Santi, Jacob Tamme, Chad Simpson, Mike Hart, Fila Moala, Jamie Silva and Cody Glenn. I believe all of these guys should get some significant playing time over the next 2 games. Should be interesting to see how they perform with their opportunities.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors.

I want to see Gonzalez now

or not seem him until next August.

Bill Polian said it himself: More than three weeks out of the game and you lose your reflexes. Reflexes are the MOST important part of being a receiver.

Let's make some assumptions.........

I think we have to assume Gonzo is gone for the year. He just didn’t recover in time. I would be absolutely shocked if he comes back, even for the super bowl.

I wouldn't use him now

don’t want another 07’ Marvin Harrison

I want Painter

and Hart. Get that Big Ten backfield going.

We're out there for 60 minutes. In that 60 minutes you can be gods or you can be smucks. And I want to be a god. How bout you?

Time to fine tune the roster

If Gonzalez isn’t going to play in the next two games then he should be placed on IR.
Why not IR Vinny and let Stover finish out the season and playoffs?
That would open up two roster spots.
Personally, I don’t think going 16-0 is worth risking injuries to starting players at this point.
Painter needs to get some time, as there is no experienced backup for Manning.
I’m also concerned about the running game, which in my opinion has been pretty weak.
This team is just too dependent on Manning and the passing game.
This is a good time to work on getting the running game up to par for the playoffs.
A better running game will only help Manning in the playoffs and keep other teams honest in working up defenses.
I don’t want to see a repeat of the failures against San Diego.

Maybe some Humber at LB

Let’s see if that talent on special teams translates to the defense

Gonzo, Brown, and AV

Should all be playing the next two weeks.

I would be shocked if Gonzo was not out there at least practicing like he was going to play against the Jets. He needs some serious game reps to shake the rust off for the playoffs, and get his timing with Manning back in check. I think if Gonzo goes Sun. (and I do think that he will), Manning will be targeting him a bunch to work on their game timing. The fact that Revis will be on Wayne will make that easier to do.

I think Vinny needs to get back out there as well. Not sure what the holdup with his return is, and it’s not like Stover is some garbage backup. IR him or play him, I say.

With Brown, I’d like to see him get back in there and shoulder a good portion of the carries, and maybe the majority against Buffalo. He needs to shake off a little rust, too, but he more importantly needs to get some actual gametime experience if he is going to help us in the postseason. I’d like to see him get between 10-15 carries on Sunday, and 15-25 the following week.

"A lot of times, Kenny, we have no idea what we're doing. But the DEFENSE doesn't know that we don't know what we're doing.....and that's next level." -Peyton Manning
