Colts Moves & Injury Updates
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/rapid-reports/team/IND/all_tags/today
New signing of Defensive End Ervin Baldwin and there is a lot of good updates happening by the minute including updates on Hayden, Freeney, Adam Vinatieri...still nothing on Gonzo, which I was hoping to hear about at some point this afternoon considering it was expected of him to start practicing last week, and didn't. Also, QB Shane Boyd has been signed to the practice squad.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors.

Is showing Ervin Baldwin on the active roster. The DE out of Michigan State who was formerly on the Bears practice squad.

Probably
another short term move. I’m glad they didn’t keep Thomas on the roster because he flat out sucked last week.
AFC South champs .... again.

Yeah, I saw that…that CBS page is the $hit. I have it up at work all day and wait for updates. It pretty much tells you everything with the exception of which player had the last bowl movement…phew, thank goodness, cuz those O-Linemen must EAT!

that page is one I've been looking for all year!
How can you not love a team that does this?

The bowel movement page?
Why would you want to see that one?

Maybe he's just on the bowl today, browsing from the bathroom
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.

For some more good information:
Phil B is finally updating his Twitter page more often:
A couple of my favorites:
CB Kelvin Hayden sounds like he’s going to play on Sunday. DE Dwight Freeney, well, he’s not so sure.
No doubt in my mind, after listening to Colts coach Jim Caldwell today, they will rest players once the No. 1 AFC playoff seed is clinched.
Gonzo update? There isn’t one. He’s still progressing. That’s typical Monday commentary from the Colts complex podium.

I would like clarification
from Caldwell about what they mean by “resting players” because if they mean giving injured players time off so they don’t aggrevate injuries then fine, but if they mean resting most of the starters regardless of injury and it is for more than a half of a game or a half of each of the last two games then I am going on record right now in saying that we will lose in the Divisional round again.
I sure hope I’m wrong but I’ve seen this movie before and it doesn’t have a good ending.
AFC South champs .... again.

And again
the benefit of getting the #1 or #2 seed is that you gain an additional bye week to rest players and get ready for the playoffs…..I don’t see the need to mess with the structure of the season schedule that these players (most of them very young) are now used to and expect them to bounce right back and play at a playoff level.
If they rest anyone, it better be Manning (only for a half), Wayne, Clark, maybe Saturday, Brackett and Session. Everyone else should be playing because they don’t know about playoff intensity and they are still making youthful mistakes on a regular basis that need to be corrected on the field.
AFC South champs .... again.

Agreed about the semantics of "resting"
Not so sure we lose our first game, either way, but I am all for having drained or hurt guys recover for the playoffs, but NOT taking the whole team to a spa for a week just because the game is “meaningless.”

Gotta say
I’m not liking this Gonzo storyline. Out 2-8 weeks, and we’re going on week 12 at the moment. If he’s not in there with one or two games at LEAST before the playoffs then he shouldn’t play at all. Marvin wasn’t ready for contact and he coughed up a HUGE fumble that may have cost them the game. He’s gotta hit that field at least twice before crunch time.

they did update us at around week 8 of the injury
saying that he needed the knee scoped and would be back in 2-3 weeks.
