I'm Late to This...

But I just discovered how asinine Jeremy Green is. I was listening to his Football Friday podcast, and he is convinced that the Chargers, rather than the Colts, are the team to fear in the AFC because the Chargers have an "explosive offence combined with a good defence."

"But wait," you say, "that's a *perfect* description of our Colts!"

Right you are. But Jeremy Green disagrees. Why? Because we weren't able to stop the Jags' when we were:

a) On a very short week.

b) Without a starting corner.

c) Without Dwight frickin' Freeney and Robert motherfrickin' Mathis for most of the first three quarters! (You know, when the Jags scored *all* of their points!)

So apparently this one game, when we were severely handicapped, had nothing to play for, in pretty lousy conditions, against a desperate, division opponent, is the true measure of our defence, as opposed to the previous 13 games where we held opponents to ~16PPG.

Yep. That makes perfect, perfect sense.

Green was a major figure in the Browns front office before coming to ESPN

that’s about all you need to know about his talent for evaluation.

Luck is probability taken personally, clutch is probability attributed to individuals.

It's shocking how much can slip your perception

Nice find.

That is telling.

Why do we post stuff like this?

It’s crapola.

Internet dramas!

Nothing else to talk about, maybe…

Personally, I don’t really care nor pay attention to what idiots are saying about us or our chances. Nothing they will say will affect our chances or change the way the team operates, and everyone’s entitled to their opinion. If you don’t like someone’s opinion, don’t pay any attention to it. Why people keep reading stories by writers they think are idiots, keep paying attention to analysts who don’t know anything or listen to radio and podcast hosts who are just stirring shit is beyond me.
