To My Fellow Colt Fans

What to do with all of the inevitable "Charger" worship coming up in the weeks to come.

Star-divide

Listen, when we won the Super Bowl we entered the playoffs as an unheralded team. Surely, we would fall in the early rounds. Then, we stood no chance against the Patriots in the championship game... and so on. In the next few weeks we shall hear how the Chargers are destined for Miami, how the Colts will fall once again to San Diego...and so on.  I say, great!  Keep talking. Let the media continue to lower their expectations for the Colts. That is exactly how I want everyone to think.  Undefeated or not I hope we are looked upon as underdogs. Indy does well in such a position. It helps to steel the Colts business like attitude.  Let the Bolts be heralded by the media, let them have all the expectations to live up to. Let our Colts go quietly about the business of winning through discipline and hard work.

Hope to meet

Well said, because I hope and want nothing more than to meet the Chargers in the playoffs under these circumstances and beat them. Whether it’s a blow out or if it’s the way the 2009 Colts have had to do it in the 4th quater makes no difference, just win.

Good post.

Part of me always echoes your sentiments, while part of me wants to just moan about respect. But this is good perspective. Go Colts!

I'm actually looking forward to kicking their

surfer-loving butts in the playoffs this year!. Last year, I admit that they were the last opponent I wanted to play in the post season…but THIS year, I KNOW with every fiber of my being that our Colts will kick their behinds!

If all else fails, I recommend a short board.

Screw it

I say Pats in the divisional round then the Chargers for the AFC championship. Nobody could deny supremacy if we got through that slate.

How can you not love a team that does this?

yeah yeah good idead, usually wed all want to kick the pats hinies in the championship

but from all the trash talk about the chargers bein better than the colts from the media, and the patriots burning out, its seems like itd be sweeter to beat down the pats first and then the chargers, oh and lovinblue you forgot about taking on the nfc champ, we dont wan to win just those two games and lose in the SB

you are right underdog will be better

I prefer the MSM saying that San Diego will kick our butts like they always done recently and not the other way around ,look what happened to the saints ,Dungy said the cowboys had no chance ,the way the MSM is talking about how good SD is will help us at the end, it is our locker room the one getting the bulletin board motivation and with that fuel there is going to be a big fire.

Just bring it

At this point the Colts should just keep what they are doing. I try to ignore these bitter, washed up “experts”. They get paid to try to turn mediocre teams into interesting stories. The Colts throw a cog in the wheel because they are from a relatively small market compared to the larger cities. If we stay healthy and not have injuries like Tennessee just had this weekend on freak plays, we should take the Lombardi trophy and serve the critics a large crow in Feb.
