Deion Sanders, one Colts game could be the root of his hate.

We been commenting for weeks about how Deion Sanders seems to hate the Colts, from comments like "That was just a blown coverage" when there's a highlight of a Peyton throw to picking the Colts to lose almost every week and his latest campaign to portrait P. Rivers as MVP when everyone knows Peyton Manning is the front runner.

Well i decided to look into Deion vs Colts moments to try to find what is fueling his crap. The short research lead me to some news paper headilines for a game during the 1999 season. How many times does an All-Pro shutdown corner gets blamed for his team loss in national press?

Sanders, who set up one Dallas touchdown with a 76-yard punt return and made a big touchdown-saving tackle, let Marvin Harrison get behind him for a 40-yard touchdown reception on the first play of the fourth quarter, and the Indianapolis Colts held on for a 34-24 victory yesterday.
Dallas led, 17-3, in the second quarterbefore the young Indianapolis trio of Harrison, Peyton Manning

and Edgerrin James started making the plays for the Colts.

So he got burned by Marvin and Peyton and lost the game because of it. But one more thing happened on that same game, after Sanders had boasted that if he saw the punter's eyes during a return, it was a guaranteed touchdown during previous interviews. Hunter Smith proved him wrong. This video was posted by me on a fanshot earlier.

I don't know how much media hate he got during the week after that game or how many times he had to watch the highlights of those plays for the wrong reasons, but there is a tiny chance that this game and the following media coverage is the actual reason for Mr. Sanders hatred towards the Colts and Peyton.

note: if i find the video of the 40 yard TD reception by Marvin against Deion i will update this post.

How about he gets paid to be the crazy provocateur of their lineup? They need someone who will say crazy stuff to get people riled up because it brings attention (and advertising dollars) to their network. I’m not going to get too into it b/c I just wrote a longer diatribe on the fanpost titled “Legitimate Complaint”, but this is what Deion gets paid to do – say crazy shit. And when you have the clearly best team and player in the league, the craziest thing to do is talk shit about us.

Maybe there’s more to it, and if there is, you’re probably right about this game being it. But I imagine the brunt of his comments from trying to being crazy Deion.

That punt return video is awesome

Deion, with a blocker, gets run down by a punter. Even if the tackle came after a long return, that has to hurt the ego.

it’s really petty for him to hate the colts because of this one play, and even this one game. i’m sure other teams and players punked him over the years considering he couldn’t tackle, and took chances so got burned deep on occasion.

But it is just my guest , no way to know his reasons unless he speaks about it , which i doubt , he will prolly say that it is a lie and that he does not hate the Colts.

i forget her name, pretty sure she got let go in 04 or 05, after rumors of her sleepin with a player, anyhow, she turned Deion down, and now he’s scorned. So sad.

My English teacher in high school was first a Cowboys cheerleader and then once she moved to Indiana, a Colts cheerleader. Boys definitely over achieved in her class.
