Great Colts of the Decade: Running Back
Thanks to all the wonderful comments in the opening article. We plan to incorporate many suggested categories and selections many of you suggested.
To start off the voting, we will begin with running backs. Use whatever criteria you want when judging which back has been the greatest this decade. If pure numbers are your thing, then Edgerrin James is your man (7,673 yards rushing as a Colt). If playoff performance is your criteria, then players like Dominic Rhodes (over 100 yards, 1 TD in Super Bowl) or Joseph Addai (several impressive playoff games) will likely get your vote.
Use the comments to elaborate on your selection, or to write-in a selection you think is missing.

Edge
I know Dom and Joe had great games during the Super Bowl run, but Edge’s production in the previous years is what catapult the Colts to perennial Super Bowl contenters.
Peyton Manning makes it Wayne on them hoes!!!!

We should have cut Vinateri and BROUGHT BACK EDGE!!!!
So we can officially sanctify the Lube!!! Edge returing to the Lube is like Jesus blowing a kiss from the cross!!!

That is really, really, seriously weird
I’m lost somewhere in a Monty Python/Life of Brian allusion, stumbling over to a few off-color jesus jokes, and then stubbing my toes on Christmas a few days away. And still I’m confused.
Not that I am disagreeing… just that I can’t quite figure out what I am agreeing with!
Edge would probably contribute more than Vinny at this point.

I could watch clips of Edge running all day
He would get so low to the ground and just churn right through people. He was always a spectacle.
Anyone who has a problem with Joseph should stop watching Colts football. It's unfair to expect a back to replace Edge, and Addai has been excellent in all areas when he is healthy.

James Mungro called
He’s NOT amused by his lack of inclusion.
Never doubt Peyton Manning, he’ll make you look silly
Joseph Addai is a good running back.
Im a douchebag, an asshole, and I'm rarely right.

Do you remember when Mungro exploded all over Philly in, like 2002?
A game where Manning had a perfect rating and Mungro, from nearby in rural PA, ran for about 125 yards in a game we were supposed to lose. Chris Berman was utterly befuddled on Sports Center (or whatever their NFL show was back then.)
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.

Yep.
It was a shovel pass.

Bobman hating Namath
“I hate Joe Namath. That’s how long I’ve been a Colts fan.”
Absolutely the same here. One of the darkest days of my formative life was the SB III debacle. I was the ONLY Baltimore fan in my neighborhood – my “friends” spent the afternoon and evening knocking on our front door to laugh at me. #19 should have started – if he had the memory might be a bit different.

It's Edge.
Didn’t even have to think about it. Should be in the Hall-of-Fame.
