Last week, Colts coach Jim Caldwell said he would play his starters four quarters. This week, he's not making any promises.
Judging by Indy's track record, we doubt Peyton Manning makes it past halftime. Perhaps Rex Ryan will send a few exotic blitzes at Manning to try to get one clean hit that scares Caldwell into calling off the dogs.
In the past, Manning was replaced by trusty veteran Jim Sorgi. Now the team has rookie Curtis Painter, a sixth-round draft pick. New York's excellent pass defense already could give the Colts problems. It will splat Painter.
The Colts will lose their undefeated season because they didn't try, the Jets will pick up a cheap win in the middle of the playoff race, and there's nothing the competition committee can do about it.
Pick: Jets 16, Colts 14
Pro Football Talks pick.
I think the Colts will play the whole game. But that's just how I see it.

What would the
Competition Committee do about it? I hate the implication there that the Competition Committee doesn’t like what the Colts are doing and/or wants to do something about it.
This is why we don’t like Mike Florio around here. Always taking random shots at the organization.

IMHO
I do not believe they should sit Manning or the starting offense unless they are hurt… Addia, should absolutely sit. But we need to see Donald Brown and we need to see Manning. Especially against a quality defense such as the Jets.
If there is any defense that can prepare Manning and this offense for the playoffs it is this defense. I hope we go all out for 15 wins, which almost makes it imperative to go for 16…
Brown in on running plays...
but put Addia in for the pass protection. Nothin but love for Brown, but his blocking needs work and against the Jets D, we’re going to need good blocking and Addai is very good at it. Brown can work on his blocking skills next season…

only problem with that
is that it likely gives away our game plan, especially when Brown’s in
How can you not love a team that does this?
Yep.
Peyton expects his running backs to be able to run, block, and catch.
