Polian Did NOT Leave Radio Show Early
I thought all of this Polian leaving his show early talk was nuts since, like Eric Hartz of ColtPower.com, I listened right up until 7:00 last night on 1070 AM. In fact, I got into my car during the final segment and heard the caller that was supposedly cut off talking with Polian. At the very end of the show, Bob Lamey had maybe 60 seconds to close things out and he did that by himself.
Now we have an explanation from 1070's Program Director, Kent Sterling.

While this still doesn't excuse Polian's combative behavior, I think it at least dispels any notions that he left early. Unfortunately, the heat may now be on Stampede Blue for not getting the story "correct" - especially since it was picked up by several national media outlets. It's certainly not the site's fault for bringing attention to the possibility that it may have happened - the other sites that picked it up without checking facts are probably as much or more to blame - but it may have been better to question what happened instead of say that it, in fact, did happen. We'll see. Anyway, having plenty of experience in the radio industry, this explanation makes perfect sense as Lamey was forced to lengthen many of the show's segments due to the heavy call volume and intense discussion. But you have to pay those bills at some point - it was just at the end of the show being broadcast on 97.1 in this case.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors.

GO COLTS!!! 09 IS OURS!!!
Sure, they had to end the show early to get to commercial inventory...
But in no way did Polian “storm off” or “leave early” and that’s the story being reported.
we all know now and thanks for more info

No Problem
I saw the update and I’m glad someone else mentioned they heard the whole show on 1070 – I thought maybe I was nuts or something.
This is just the first proof that the show did not in any way end becuase Polian stormed off or anything, and I think that’s important to note.
i agree that it is indeed improtant

BBS was very careful in what he said originally
and turns out he was right to do so. He could only report on what he heard, and he did, and then he updated it when more information presented itself.
Polian did get very angry and defensive though, the dude was not happy.
