Not a horrible injury report

but I wish it were more encouraging. Freeney is now being a bit wishy-washy in his comments, and I don’t like CJ’s status of not having practiced at all. It’s probably smart to keep Brown out for the time being – need him healthy for the post-season.

How can you not love a team that does this?

Reading between the lines

It seems like Freeney will play this week as he has practiced the past 2 days. CJ will be out and Ugoh will start just like he did earlier this season against the Titans (I think).

Brown shouldn’t play if he is injured and since they brought Hart back in he will take over the 3rd spot and Simpson should move up to backup for Addai. Odds are the Hart will struggle with pass blocking if he plays significant minutes similar to the inexperienced Brown.

I am as comfortable with Ugoh as I am with CJ so that’s not a big deal to me.

I am more interested in seeing that happens with Sorgi, Brown and possibly Dom Rhodes from here out…

I'm glass is half-empty right now

Nice that we’re keeping some guys out of harms way pre-playoffs, but…. it’s a bigger list that I want and some key names. Freeney? CJ? And then the little nicks list includes Saturday? Ugoh? Powers? Wayne?

Pardon me while I breathe into a paper bag.

LB, it’s gonna be cold for the Cal/UW game. High of 33 tomorrow, I think, and that stadium is breezy. Probably better on TV than in real life.

I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.

Don't panic.

Freeney practiced fully on both Thursday and Friday which indicates that he’s near 100%. He should play and eat VY alive. CJ might not play, but that’s honestly for the better right now. He can’t be on this on again, off again routine he’s trying to pull off. He needs to take a week off and get 90-100%.

As for the probable guys, think nothing of it. The Colts used to not list those kinds of things at all (the little nicks that don’t keep them out of practice). My guess is that someone complained about the Colts, so they are now listing everybody who’s even slightly hurt. Long story short on that is these guys were nicked up the same way all of these past years. You just didn’t know about it. Well, now you do.

If I were you, I would be excited about the return of Freeney and Hayden. I know I am.

Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: What should you do if a hot dog vendor gives you a free hot dog? Why, throw it on the ground, of course.

ugoh

anyone know who is the backup in case Tony Ugoh goes down, or just plum plays too poorly during the game? that’s assuming CJ sits this one out.
and after Simpson’s running last week, I’m not too worried about him backing up Addai. those two will pound out enough yards for Manning to work with.
but how about getting someone to actually return kickoffs?! seems like every drive starts at the 17.

High of 33?

Thermometers where I live don’t even go below 55! Ok I exaggerate… it was 33 when I walked the dog this morning – neither of us knew what to make of that white frozen stuff on the nice green grass… I think they call it “frost”? Have fun bundled up… I’ll look for your shivering butt on TV.

How can you not love a team that does this?

Damn the Donald is out again.

I still hope we run it 30 times this week. Watching Chad drag guys for 5-10 yds is kinda fun.

It was fun, wasn't it?!

As per usual, my early CBS game is the San Diego – CLEVELAND game. Can you believe it? God, I hate the Chargers. I have to rant to someone….

Anywho, I’ll be in the open threads this weekend! Oh well, at least this way I get to listen to Lamey!

Just give

Chuck the weekend off. He’s been getting beat more consistently lately, and I’m holding out hope that its injury related. Let him get to 100%.

Never doubt Peyton Manning, he’ll make you look silly
Joseph Addai is a good running back.
Im a douchebag, an asshole, and I'm rarely right.

I'm going to my regular Colts venue

A pizza place two blocks away where I see the Colts every time they aren’t on local TV. I am usually there alone, and they have six TV’s. Also showed them how to make a breakfast buritto how I like em. So for $9.00 I get my Colts and congestive heart failure. I guess it’s possible I’ll croak there with my face in a bowl of salsa. What a fan, what a fan.
