Of course I'm biased,

but you do make a good argument. The two things that were glaringly clear Monday night was the fact that the Pats couldn’t get pressure on Brees at. all. And conversely, the Saints were pressuring Brady like crazy. I remember wondering how well Brees and his line would hold up against Freeney and Mathis. Plus the Pats secondary was just horrible. oh my.

Me likey.

Saints would beat us

Too explosive.

Shake, excellent thumbnail analysis

I’d love to see a savvy Saints fan’s response, but I think your argument holds a lot of water.

Now if we can just get to that game…..

And how about Minny? I’ve actually seen parts of two of their games, but didn’t pay too much attention aside from the end of the Balt game. I know MInny DOES have a decent pass rush, but aside from that and the patented “Two Fatties D”®, not much….

I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.

Matchup vs. gameplan

Do you really think Sean Payton would design a game plan that plays into a defense’s strength? It’d be three and five step drops. Throwing quick slants and hooks. Enough to keep the chains moving until your safeties come up to support the run and close the holes in the zone. THEN hit the long ones once Freeney and Mathis get gassed. Patience would pay off.

On the flip side, the Colts and Payton have traditionally struggled against a pressuring 3-4 defense (Ravens and Chargers).

It would be close until mid third quarter. Then the Saints take over. Check out fourth quarter scoring by the Saints, for and against.

All that said, it would definitely be the game of the year!! Good luck to you. Hope to settle it in Miami.
