I have to say...

… that was an excellent solo tackle by Glenn. Colts special teams doesn’t have a whole lot of folks who do that. It ends up standing out when one of them does.

What is it about Addai's numbers?

Consensus is that he’s running like a beast, but he only has 3.4 ypc today, and not far above that for the season.

by hahasound on Dec 6, 2009 1:54 PM EST reply actions

it's how he is running

he fighting for those extra yards

by MarkFive05 on Dec 6, 2009 1:55 PM EST up reply actions

he's consistent

YPC is usually boosted by long runs. Addai doesn’t break those. He just grinds out short effective runs over and over.

Luck is probability taken personally, clutch is probability attributed to individuals.

It's shocking how much can slip your perception

Even your eyes lie

by shake n bake on Dec 6, 2009 1:55 PM EST up reply actions

He just keeps

Plugging away, getting first downs when we need them, and he is amazing in the redzone

by furrycolt on Dec 6, 2009 1:55 PM EST up reply actions

that's what I was thinking.

it’s all relative… if a runner is getting 3.5-4 ypc with awful run blocking, I guess it follows that the runner is better than a back who is gaining 5 ypc when there are no defenders on the field.

and also: yes, his lack of big plays has to be a large part of that, too. Brown was sitting at around 3.4 ypc until he railed off a 50-yarder, and shot up to like 4.2-4.3.

So is it wrong that I want the Jags to make the playoffs?

1. Because it makes our division look that much better.
2. Because if they’re in the Steelers probably aren’t.
3. The Jags wouldn’t be as big of a problem in the playoffs.
