Luke Links: The "Colts Eye On The Prize" Edition

Another day and another post where I promise not to bash and demean writers who (in my not-so-humble opinion) continue to write horrible articles slighting the currently undefeated Colts. Instead, you all get the Luke Links, where we comb the Internets for the finest articles that either praise, bash, or backhandedly compliment our beloved team.
- When Did Tom Brady Become Human? Well, if by "human" you mean he started throwing interceptions to lose ballgames, I'd say he became "human" at or around 2005. If it has taken you this long to figure out he's "human," then welcome to the reality-based community, pal!
- Gary Estwick, who was on our podcast last week, writes that Vince Young struggled to make the key throws in his team's loss to the Colts last Sunday.
- Reggie Hayes seems to agree with Dwight Freeney: Going undefeated in the regular season is nice, but they don't hand you any trophies for it.
- Sigh. I won't even comment on it. I'll just link to Peter King's article, and walk away.
- I'll now link to Kissing Suzy Kolber blasting the crap out of Peter King's article, and walk away smiling.
- The Colts have the played the 7th toughest schedule in the league this season. The Saints have played the 24th toughest.
- Greggggggggg Doyel manages to not sound like a... ugh. Sorry. Forgot. I promised not to insult anyone in this links round-up. Doyel's article is surprisingly Colts friendly.
- And finally, Mike Silver manages to spend an entire article talking about everything from Aquan Boldin wanting a new contract to the Saints barely beating the Redskins to his daughter’s U-14 soccer team. Yet, despite all the wonderful topics covered (I love reading about Silver's oh-so-beautiful children in a pro footblal article), Silver barely mentioned the Colts excpet to note how much of a punk Tony Brown is for practically handing Indy 3 points before the half.

Who is Andrew Sharp (the writer of the "Tom Brady is Human" article)???
I reccomend anyone to read that article, if you enjoy laughing.
EVH+DLR=BFFr........ God I Hope So!!
Writer
Andrew is a writer for SBNation.com. He’s written some good articles over there, but this Brady one is almost comical, and it is not intentionally so.

Gregg Doyle's December 8th column
shows what a complete idiot he is. I, of course, had to send a note to him straightening him out. He says that the Saints have an extra gear that the Colts don’t have. He says the Colts top gear is 75 mph, possibly 80 mph, but it wouldn’t be enough if a team like the Saints popped it into ‘their top gear’. What a joke. The Colts scored 27 points against the Dolphins in a little over 14 minutes of TOP. I’d say that’s a fairly high gear, wouldn’t you? Apparently Doyle didn’t remember that game. Also, didn’t the Colts score 17 points against the Patriots in the 4th quarter? I think that’s a pretty high gear too. The truth is the Colts have not even played close to their potential offensively for a whole game. If that happened, the Saints would look like a high school team against them in comparison. I also reminded him about a 42-6 win over the Rams and asked him how the Saints fared against the Rams? In short, the Colts have the highest gear of any team, in my humble opinion. I just want to see that gear for 4 quarters! Every game would be a blow-out if they played to their potential. Doyle, you’ve proven again, you write bogus articles with little or no research.
I read that article
He listed the receivers on the saints and receivers on the colts and said it is not even close. The saints have better receivers. I quit reading after that. Funny how he left out Reggie Wayne in the receiver comparisons, too. He’s such an idiot it’s not even useful getting worked up over. He is arguably the least respected person in sports media, and not just by the fans.
"A lot of times, Kenny, we have no idea what we're doing. But the DEFENSE doesn't know that we don't know what we're doing.....and that's next level." -Peyton Manning
Scratch that
That was from an old article. I didn’t realize the boob wrote two anti-Colt articles in three weeks with a somewhat complimentary one inbetween.
"A lot of times, Kenny, we have no idea what we're doing. But the DEFENSE doesn't know that we don't know what we're doing.....and that's next level." -Peyton Manning
You did not include Paul K’s interesting article about the streak. basically, how the colts are a victim of their own high standards:
http://espn.go.com/blog/afcsouth/post/_/id/6616/in-streak-colts-living-up-to-high-standards
Also, Peter King, our resident idiot picked Manning as the player of the decade and QB of his all-decade team over Brady. Picked Polian as the GM of the decade. Colts victory over Pats in 06 / Dungy’s first superbowl also in top 10 best moments of the decade.
So how exactly
does Peter King still merit any credibility when he writes crap like this? I’m suddenly understanding his rationale for the Manning piece a few weeks ago:
“Hey, now that my favorite team the Patriots shat the bed, who pretty much suck, while Tom Brady plays like he has every other year aside from ‘07—above average, no more, no less—and is choking like he has been for years even though we keep ignoring it, if I write a good Colts article, it will show everyone I am not biased!!! And then when I blast them in my MMQB a few weeks later, despite having no logic, basis, or any legitimate statistics to back it up, all while their undefeated, I can say, ’Hey! Didn’t you read my Manning article? See! Not biased! Point, PK!’”
As for the clueless Twittererer who asked why we would rest our players rather than play them since that is how we won the SB in ‘06…..we HAD to play everyone because we didn’t have a spot locked up yet. And PK is perfectly accurate with his SD will beat Indy because they rest players too much. Just perfect. I mean, beside the fact that one year Mathis played hurt, Freeney played none, Marvin played severely injured which helped to cost us the game, Kenton Keith forgot how to use his hands and let a pass bounce off his chest at the SD one and get picked off. Other than all THAT….right on, PK. Last year we traveled across the country in 6 days without Gary Brackett or Marlin Jackson, played to overtime, and lost because we lost the coin toss. We probably would have avoided OT if Gijon Robinson wouldn’t have jumped offsides. Gijon also played nearly all of week 17. But yeah, the fact that we rested is why we lost.

re: Peter King's article
isnt this the new journalistic game?
Notre Dame could name a new head coach as early as today. Or as late as the end of the time.
The Texans arent going to fire Kubiak today. But that could change tomorrow.
Josh Freeman is the QB of the Bucs for the foreseeable future, unless they decide to make a switch.
Never doubt Peyton Manning, he’ll make you look silly
Joseph Addai is a good running back.
Im a douchebag, an asshole, and I'm rarely right.
