Polian Gone MAD!!

Ok we all know how good Bill is at Drafting. What if someone slips him and the entire front office some silly pills and they go crazy with the first round pick!?Who do they go for? What do they do?

Heres my guess......Trade up to No 2 spot and get DT Monroe or Jason Smith. Then trade to the Lions for Calvin Johnson. We give them Addai and the No2 pick for Mr Johnson then draft a RB in the 2nd round!

Itll never ever ever even come close to happening but i'm supposed to be writing about Carbon Fibre and i'm trying to entertain my mind!

GO COLTS!

You're dreaming

If you think the Lions would trade their star receiver for a running back who is injury prone and can’t carry a full load and a 2nd round pick. He was the second pick in the draft for crying out loud. Dallas had to give up a first-round pick, plus a third, sixth, and 7th round pick. And since we won’t be resigning Rhodes, who is going to teach our new RB how to work in Peyton’s offense? Chad Simpson? Mike Hart? Draft a WR in the first round, a DT in the 2nd and somewhere between 4-6. Draft another offensive lineman, a corner or two (or another safety). I say we wait a year on RB or just use a low draft pick since we can get by for another year and then use a 1st rounder.

I think you guys missed the point!

It was just supposed to be something that we could dream about!?Something that wont happen but that we’d love to happen!

Maybe i approached it the wrong way or to the wrong audience!

Reality

If we traded for Johnson, we’d also agree to take his contract. I am not going to look up the details, but since Calvin was the 2nd pick in a draft, his guaranteed money is probably pretty large and we don’t have space for it with our salary cap. Plus, looking at the 40 times from the combine, this crop of RBs don’t look too promising.

Do you really not get the point of the post!?

Its supposed to be something that you would love to see happen!?Who cares about salary cap or 40 times! What would you love to see happen in the draft!?

Tell ya what dont worry about it!i got the proper response on other blogs just thought it might be fun here!

that is what Madden 09 is for

I usually trade all my draft picks to Detriot and the win the SB. The Impossible becomes the possible!

Nate Davis = beast, God I hope he doesn't go to Detriot.......

ok...

then I wish we would trade for everyone that made the pro bowl.

by hoosierdore on Feb 23, 2009 4:24 PM EST up reply actions

why stop there,

1. kick out the salary cap one year early.
2. change the NFL rules that say a team is not allowed to have more than 53 players on their active roster
3. ????
4. Profit!

Seriously

Just add the word “bank” after your name and apparently, the government will just send a check; no forms, no written request, no questions asked…

It would never happen

Because it would be unfair. Megatron and Peyton? That could only happen in a dream where beautiful women that hang around in naughty lingerie serve my every need and Carl Weathers is my mentor. I promise you they’d CRUSH Moss’ and Brady’s record. And I’m generally a realist, but Johnson is, in my opinion, by far the best WR in the league. Why even draft a RB? Slap Hart in there, crutches and all, and just let Wayne, Johnson, Gonzo, Clark go crazy. Johnson’s actually one of the saddest stories in football. A guy with that talent is going to be wasted away just like Barry was. Damn you Detroit, why do you have to suck on such a consistent basis that you constantly take these freaks and bury their careers? They’ve ruined so many people’s reputations, careers, confidence, and love for the game over the years the league and players should bring a class action lawsuit against them on the basis of human rights violations and cruel and unusual punishment.

While we’re at the point of fantasying (Wow Eliza Dushku, I didn’t realize you looked that good in that outfit. Yes I’ll take another scotch. Could you ask Shakira if the lobster will be ready soon?), I think the league is too big at this point. I liked the bigger divisions, more rivalries, better teams made the playoffs. So I say they go to 3 divisions of 5 teams again, but the Raiders, Lions, Chiefs, Bengals and Browns all much leave their divisions and only play each other the entire year. The top 3 get to stay, the bottom 2 have to disband and allow the suffering and waste of talent to cease. There is one stipulation though, Al Davis has to play QB for the Raiders and wear one of those old school leather helmets.

Jim Sorgi runs a 4.6 40. That's all I've got to say about that.
