Peyton Manning tried to whack Jay Cutler
Colts fans, this has gone long enough. I know Peyton Manning is the best quaterback in the league right now, but it's simply not fair for him to try and knock off young quarterbacks in order to ensure his own place in history.
I mean, pushing Jay Cutler into a pool with his blood sugar monitor in his pocket, that's just not cool.
"Cutler’s radar had gone up, but he never had a chance. Splash! [...] Great fun. Big laughs. There was just one problem. Cutler is a Type 1 diabetic, and in his pocket was his blood-sugar monitor… The monitor was fried by the chlorinated water…"
Hall of Famer or not, Cutler's not done anything mean to Manning to deserve such a horrible fate.
Show some respect to the next generation of quarterbacks.

I noticed that
people just need to get into the habit of looking off the the right as they are scrolling down to check comments on older stories. I’m getting much better about it.

FanShots
I actually like FanShots for certain things better than FanPosts. FanPosts are for Fan Writing, ie, fans who want to write something substantive, like monsterbox’s recent posts. FanPosts are more for breaking news, links, quotes, videos, etc.

Agree, but it's like newspapers
If it’s “above the fold” it gets noticed, if it’s below the fold it often goes unseen — no matter how interesting. So if you want to post something and make sure it’s seen and commented on, you do a post instead of a shot. Not the best use of the resources perhaps, but there it is. The only thing I could see that might help is changing the page layout so that FanPosts and Fanshots are both at the top and flanking the “front page” stories. Otherwise it’s just human nature to look at the top stuff more often and to want to post stuff where it will be seen by more people.

Actually I didn't see the fanshot
Even though I constantly refresh, and scroll down to see them, I didn’t actually see the Fanshot. In fact I don’t see it now as I type this.

Peyton is preparing Cutler for playoff adversity
At least I think so. And hey, he spared his cell phone.
Now if it was Phillip Rivers …
