Luke Links: Is it draft day yet?
I wish. There isn't much going on today so this should be short and sweet.
- The Redskins are going to have a QB competition to see who the starter will be. My guess says Campbell wins but we'll see.
- Torry Holt is visiting the Jaguars today.
- Apparently Tony Gonzalez never asked for a trade according to Chiefs GM Scott Pioli.
- The Panthers have opened talks Jake Delhomme about an extension. They must have forgotten all about that last playoff game.
- Looks like the Jaguars might be going after Mark Sanchez.
- Mike Lombardi thinks Jarron Gilbert could break into the first round of the draft.
- Kubiak is looking for another running back to split carries with Slaton. He wants a "bigger, more physical guy who's good in short yardage and goal-line situations." Man, that sounds awfully familiar.
- The Bucs may be eyeing Josh Freeman.
- The Cardinals are in talks with Boldin about a contract extension.
- The Patriots are eyeing Pat White? Not sure that makes much sense, but ok.
- Lots of changes implemented this offseason.
- The Chiefs signed ex-Charger Mike Goff.
- The Commish also wants to extend the season. It would be nice to see more games, but it would be brutal on the players.

Two things I would be pissed with if I were a fan of the Panthers or Bucs
If I were a Panther fan, no way would I want Jake long term.
if I were a Buc fan I hope the first pick isnt used on Freeman.
Gilbert
Told you. He’s THAT good. I dig him. 3rd or 4th option in round 1 (Raji/Jerry). Gives us another shot at getting a legit 1st round DT. I dig it because any one of the 3 works. Jerry I see as the NT but can play UT. Hood I see as the UT might be able to play NT or at least on passing downs although I’d prefer him at UT. Gilbert I see as the best UT in the draft and would demand double teams constantly. And if all 4 of them are gone by our pick, it probably means either an OT or a LB drops and that’s good too.
Jim Sorgi runs a 4.6 40. That's all I've got to say about that.
Oh
Was checking on a couple things, saw this :
"Colts | Humber to work out
Thu, 26 Mar 2009 13:05:30 -0700
The Indianapolis Colts will hold a private workout with North Dakota State LB Ramon Humber Monday, March 30. "
“Also, linebacker Ramon Humber was listed at a bit over 5’ 11” and 225, with a fancy 4.56 40 time "
Jim Sorgi runs a 4.6 40. That's all I've got to say about that.
