Buster Davis waived

http://ind.scout.com/2/852129.html

I know he wasn't a fan favorite but I really was pulling for him to go through a full camp with Indy to see if we could develop him back into the dominating ILB that he was in college.

This looks like yet another step toward revamping the linebacker core. Hagler, Keiaho and Davis gone. I'd hate to think they're even consider getting rid of Gary, but he's not fitting the mold they seems to be looking for. Seward and Wheeler are much bigger than other LBs we've had on the roster for awhile. If they're really serious about Jason Williams he has some really decent size as well. We'll have to wait and see...in Polian we trust.

GO HORSE!!!

Buster

I rooted for Buster too, but the fact of the matter is he didn’t play well in a defense designed specifically for someone like him to play well in. Seward is a better prospect as a back-up MLBer. Buster may still get re-signed prior to camp.

And he became a worldwide sensation, briefly

when he knocked out the previously unbeaten Mike Tyson so long ago in Japan.

I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.

Do you think...

this may mean that the Colts will still look at LB in the early rounds? I know there are a lot around here that really seem to like a RB or even a WR, but I hope the Colts focus on the D and specifically stopping the run. There are a few pretty good backers that would be available…just wondering.

Well those people are retarded

And don’t let their ignorance change your thinking. You’re on the right track. I don’t think they’ll go LB in the first day though, unless someone drops unexpectedly. The only way I could see that happening is if they decided William Moore could convert to LB or they run a 3 safety set. I would have said definitely if Jason Phillips didn’t jack up his knee. I could see them going after one in the 3rd or 4th though. Other than that it’d probably be a reach.

Jim Sorgi runs a 4.6 40. That's all I've got to say about that.

I'm not retarded.

This line will remain in my signature until the Colts draft Rashad Jennings in 2009.

You’re borderline. They let you go to school by yourself as long as you wear a helmet and floaties.

Most of our needs...

Are on offense. We need Oline, RB and maybe WR.

- DT, CB (if Jackson and Jennings are not re-signed after next yer), and LB (no depth, Gary’s replacement not named Seward)…defense is just as much if not more.
