Yes, I don't have the Colts drafting Hakeem Nicks.  I have his stock plummeting down to the Phins.  The more I think about it the more I realize that the trend of wide receivers' stock going down come draft day is going to continue.  With his Lyndon B. Johnson weight, he will be a risk that Polian won't want to take.  Here comes Peria Jerry and Derrick Williams!

Really god draft...

I see you have Clay Matthews going really high in the first….as everyone knows he is the guy I really like. However that is pretty high.

Anyway, great draft!!

More and more

I am being sold on those 2 players as BPA at those picks. That is why, if Polian doesn’t pick similar to that (i.e. Jerry/Hood in the 1st and Williams/Robiskie in the 2nd), I really feel like he’ll trade down.

I’ve been formulating this in my head and would be ecstatic by a draft like this:

1. Jerry/Hood – DT
2. Williams/Robiskie – WR (plus with Williams we truly have a dominate KR/PR)
3. Andre Brown – RB
4. Jason Williams – OLB
4. Augustus Parrish – OT
5. Joe Burnett – CB (another KR for competition and upside as a Cover-2 CB)
6. (Depth Pick) Curtis Painter – QB/ Nate Davis – QB/ Thomas Morstead – P
7. Lonnie Harvery – DT (Big, athletic guy to compete for NT)

Couple things

I don’t think Hood will fall to the 55th spot. I also think that, just noticing how when Polian decides what a “need” is, he generally attacks it and limits the chances for perceived busts. Meaning, I didn’t notice Jarron Gilbert on the board, but if he was still there in round 2, I think he’d go back to back Jerry/Gilbert to try and finally end the pain in the ass DT position once and for all. And like I said, I like Williams, but for a returner/slot receiver or flanker who needs to learn routes, I think round 2 is a bit high.

With the Eagles, I’d almost promise you they’d take Andre Smith over Wells. Wells doesn’t really fit their system and they’re not really looking for someone to split carries with Westbrook, they’re looking for someone to eventually take over for him. And if they skip on Wells and take Smith (which I have a feeling he doesn’t fall as far as everyone thinks he will, he’s moving back up in a ton of mocks), who’s going to take him? They could get A. Smith AND Wells, but I don’t think they’d take Wells even if he was there by pick 28. Just watching the interest they’ve shown in Donald Brown, and the type of back he is, he fits their system and would be a definite fit for their system. The Colts RBs may need to be great at catching and blocking, but they’re not even close to what they demand from the Philly RBs. I actually think, if Moreno is gone, they may even take McCoy over Wells. He fits what they ask from their backs moreso than Wells does. Wells may end up in NE, which sucks. I think, based on what you have going on there, this would be a better draft for the Eagles :

1a. A. Smith
1b. D. Brown
2. C. Coffman

There you get their tackle to put opposite Stacey Andrews, a workhorse back that fits their system and can receive, and one of the best receiving TEs to come out in awhile. I actually think that the Eagles would benefit more from a receiving TE than they would a WR. They already have Jackson (speed threat) Curtis (possession threat) Avant (came on at the end of last year) and Baskett (tall threat who showed flashes when given the chance). I think a #1 Jackson # 2 Baskett/Avant #3 (slot) Curtis and Coffman would be much better than trying to figure out where to put Maclin.

That’s my point about Stafford going to the Lions. If the Lions skip Stafford, they get a solid prospect at OT, DT, or have a very scary LB group. And they’d still have a good shot at getting Stafford by their second pick, or Freeman or Sanchez. Now I don’t think Freeman or Sanchez are as solid as Stafford (who isn’t a lock himself), but I think that J. Smith/Sanchez or Raji/Freeman is a stronger first round than Stafford/Britton.

GoHorse88, that’s a nice mock, and I think Robiskie is a good round 2 value.

Oops, forgot I had a meeting. I dig the mock, slight tweaks and I’d love it. I’ll talk about it later.

Jim Sorgi runs a 4.6 40. That's all I've got to say about that.

Reverse order

Great job Colts Homer except that I see BP drafting 1- Derrick Williams, 2- Peria Jerry in reverse order to your selection.

Jerry won't be there

by our #2 pick. He may not even be there at 27.

Yes

We will draft Derrick Williams over Maclin, Harvin, and Nicks. And then we will forfeit the rest of our picks and donate them to charity. Great idea.

Sounds Good

I also expect them to trade Manning to the Chargers for the rights to Ryan Leaf.

Impossible.
