This was the best move by Detroit. I think they should pour their resources into their offense and build it from there.

And a good move by Stafford

who would probably lose millions in a contract even if he would drop only 3 spots to Seattle

I’m glad I could convince you that Stafford would be a good choice.

This line will remain in my signature until the Colts draft Rashad Jennings in 2009.

I almost feel sorry for those who filled out their draft board for the contest and didn’t have Stafford going first…almost.

They don't let you change settings

And I had Stafford first to begin with.

Eh...

I wouldn’t have taken him, to be honest. I’m not convinced he’s going to be a franchise QB and I think there are better players in the draft.

joey harrington version 2.0. wasted pick, wasted money…

by saintnixon on Apr 23, 2009 11:50 PM EDT reply actions

To be fair

Matt Millen picked Joey Harrington and forgot to build him an offensive line. And besides, Joey Harrington has no real arm or quick decision making.

And hey, the Colts busted out on Jeff George, they totally should have past on Peyton Manning or Ryan Leaf. /obvious sarcasm

He’s better than what they got, which is a washed-up turn over machine with bad wheels, an unproven guy from Michigan State whose only merrit is a convoluted forecast system, and Drew Henson, Take the QB, build an offensive line, and see if theings turn around for there. It’s funny how everyone is conviced that Aaron Curry is the greatest thing since sliced effing bread and he’s played in the same ammount of NFL games as Matthew Stafford: ZERO. No one the draft is a sure thing, and half the time, it’s more great coaching that makes players hit instead of natural talent.

In short, shut up.

They were down to Stafford and Curry.

If Stafford doesn’t sign by draft day, they have already reached a deal with Curry. If Stafford does sign, the Lions miss out on the best player, as usual.
