So is Peter King

I’m sure he is celebrating right now and claiming superiority over everyone else.

ESPN Streak for the Cash

The number 2 pick spot locks at 4:20 but they will have already picked by then. Stupid ESPN games.

I'm now going to disappear

for a while. My parents decided unilaterally that today would be a good day to drive up to Ball State and visit my brother in college there and go out to Outback Steakhouse to eat. I’m not projected to be back until around 7:00. So, I’ll be listening to Fox Sports radio in the car, completely cut off from my beloved Internet. Hopefully, the Colts won’t pick until after that. Any way you can delay the draft from NYC BBS?

Have fun, you guys. I won’t.

Now a proud annoyance on Stampede Blue, 18to88, Indy Football Report, and Phil B's blog.

Man, I need a life...

Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: Every time the Colts have played the KC Chiefs in the playoffs, they have gone on to at least the AFC Championship game.

Wow, dumb as hell.

You have a 3-4 team and instead of picking the BPA who is also an anchor for your LB corps, you reach for a DE who hasn’t produced to fill a spot that frankly isn’t that important in your scheme. Whatever, more good players for us. Hell, maybe Curry freefalls to the Colts!

by slash196 on Apr 25, 2009 4:28 PM EDT reply actions

You need pass rush from OLB in a 3-4 and Curry, great as he looks to be, doesn’t fit the pass rushing LB mould.

Dudes

This could happen.

Somebody takes Crabtree (maybe Jags), then Maclin goes to Philly. Jets can’t take Wells now. Moreno COULD be there at 27. And Moreno or Wells has a STRONG chance to be there now.

DT is too big of a need I think

Although I’d like Moreno over ANY WR.

would make Moreno the pick.

Crabtree or Monroe

It seems split.

I'm going Monroe

For the completely irrational reason that I’ve liked Crabtree for long enough that I don’t want to hate him at Jacksonville.

Like I said, its irrational, but its what I’m going with.

I like how this draft is going so far

gives us a better opportunity to pick up a good OT or will help one of the DT’s fall further.

Keep Crabtree falling.

Keeps Maclin on the board longer.

Look's like it's Monroe

He’s too good of a tackle to pass up, solid pick

Packers

Green Bay won’t take WR, they might try to trade down.

BJ Raji makes a lot of sense to the Packers I think.

Definitely

I think they take Raji or front 7 on defense. Orakpo possibly.

Here's my (new) plan for the Colts pick

Trade down to 36 with the Browns for either the 50th or 52nd pick this year, or for their first rounder next year.

Would be great for us either way.
