Colts final pick, #236 overall, OG, Jaimie Thomas Maryland
via media.collegepublisher.com
This is the head scratcher of the night. Thomas is instantly the largest player on the team at 323lbs and only the second O-Lineman over 305lbs on the roster (Diem). With athletic tackles available, as well as a few cover-2 LBs and UT Mitch King the Colts chose a giant guard.
and that's the Colts draft, but remember the next Jeff Saturday, Gary Brackett or Eric Foster could still be out there to be signed tonight.

He's huge
"I saw a commercial on late night TV, it said,'Forget everything you know about slipcovers.' So I did. And it was a load off my mind. Then the commercial tried to sell me slipcovers, and I didn't know what the hell they were."

lol how many DTs do you want?
This line will remain in my signature until the Colts draft Rashad Jennings in 2009.
Oh and I write words and stuff for Stampede Blue.

if
you can get Rashad Jennings as a UDFA, you have to go for it. Even if you have to put Hart on the PS for a year to recover.
I also wish I had time and motivation to blog at Speed Blue Nation
So.....
I wonder what Polian’s Secret Plan is NOW. There are some real values left in the FA market. Go get em boys!

I think we rule out jennings
because he doesn’t need to somewhere they already have three drafted RBs on the roster

i think you can start them right after Mr. Irrelevant is announced.
Now a proud annoyance on Stampede Blue, 18to88, Indy Football Report, and Phil B's blog.
Man, I need a life...
Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: Every time the Colts have played the KC Chiefs in the playoffs, they have gone on to at least the AFC Championship game.
Signing Jennings
Best case scenario, Mike Hart stays healthy and you put Jennings on the PS as the future at HB
Worst case scenario, Hart can’t play, goes to the PS(how many games did he suit up for last year?) or IR, Jennings takes his role on.
Sounds like a WIN either way to me.
I also wish I had time and motivation to blog at Speed Blue Nation
Hart suited up for five games
But he would probably go on the PUP list and leave the practice squad for Lance Ball.

So, does anybody know why King and Jennings have fallen so far?
Were there character issues? Really bad pro day/combine? What’s going on here?

King showing up at the combine under his playing weight didn't help
and I guess in the all start games/combine/workouts he didn’t convince anyone he could play DE

as far as i know
King was a real stand up guy. blue collar, plays whistle to whistle guy. maybe just doesnt fit the normal profile for a DL
Doesn't everybody who stays in Radio City Music Hall for the entire draft (until Mr. Irrelevant)
get some type of prize?

yeah, supposedly a great talent
but some character and dedication issues. not as big as terrance taylor and fili moala, but he had some of the same hangups despite talent.

All we had to do was use a 7th rounder
And we would have had him and cockblocked JAX

Will the Colts DT curse stay alive?
Colts DTs die in a tragic gasoline fight accident. Shit happens when you party naked.
