Luke Links: It's friiiiiiiiiddaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy
I was going to post this yesterday but there was too much stuff going on and figured it'd be best to consolidate it all today.
- Obviously the big news story yesterday was Jay Cutler being traded to the Broncos for a 1st and 3rd round pick this year, and a 1st next year, along with Kyle Orton. McDaniels is still a tool though.
- A bunch of possible first round picks popped on their drug tests at the combine. Geniuses I tell yas!
- Head scratcher of the day: BBS drafts Mark Sanchez in the writers mock draft. Prepare your stones, I'll get the rope.
- Dante Stallworth is charged with DUI manslaughter for the guy he smoked with his car.
- Sadly, Hakeem Nicks recently worked out for the Colts.
- Our favorite DT is trying to impress the enemy. Bad Ziggy bad!
- The Bears also signed Orlando Pace.
- Rodney Harrison says he will decide on retirement by June 1st. I'm hoping he does. I get tired of seeing this guy play.
- The Chiefs tell Connor Barwin they want him to play OLB if they draft him.
- According to the Phins Greg Camarillo will play opposite Ted Ginn Jr.
- Sean Payton really likes Beanie Wells.
- Some bouncer is trying to sue Darren McFadden because he was injured in a brawl. Funny, I was pretty sure bouncers were supposed to prevent brawls.
- The guy who admitted to murdering Sean Taylor wants out of his plea deal.
- Bengals bring in Tank Johnson for a visit.
- The Colts are expecting a 95% ticket renewal rate.
- The Texans are thinking about trading down their 1st round pick.
- Rey Muaglaguaga is visting with the Falcons this weekend.

I gotta agree...
The Harrison thing is about time. For a guy that is a known juicer and one of the dirtiest hitters in the game he gets more positive press!!! Just go away!!
Lots of good stuff there.
My stones are ready and waiting for BBS ;D
Sean Payton should consider somebody who can play defense, imho.
I still think Ziggy is too small for the Pats.

Sanchez!
You can’t be serious! No way can you draft a guy like that to hold a clipboard for 5 years! Peyton’s got five years left, right? Please say peyton’s got five left in the tank!!!

And it would be one thing...
If Sanchez was actually battle tested but he has only played ONE year as a QB.
Well, looks like we got a mighty ornery lynching party
but no guest of honor.
BBS in hiding?
In the immortal words of Ricky Riccardo, he got some ‘splainin’ to do.
I don’t have rocks or stones, but a recording of Roseanne Barr singing the national anthem and a DVD of Gigli. Yes, I am a twisted, cruel, man.
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.
hahaha
I have been wondering where he is myself.
Gigli? Wow. Cruel & Unusual. I like it.

BBS is in hiding after the pick, our e-mail exchange yesterday
BBS: Ok. BTW: I picked Mark Sanchez in the MTD Writers Mock draft over Ziggy Hood. I expect to get roasted for it.
Shake: I can see why, you’ll be roasted not made the pick :)
If Rexx took Nicks, then I’ll be really upset with you because you screwed up me calling picks 25-27 right after #24.
BBS: He did take Nicks. Sorry. (runs and hides)

Paul Kuharsky, of ESPN.com, reports the Houston Texans have signed unrestricted free-agent LB Buster Davis (Colts) to a one-year deal worth $445,000.
Jim Sorgi runs a 4.6 40. That's all I've got to say about that.
Hey man...
I already used a FanShot to say that about a full day ago. Does anybody ever look at the right side of the screen anymore? Does it have to be a FanPost to get attention?
Now a proud annoyance on Stampede Blue, 18to88, Indy Football Report, and Phil B's blog.

Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: By state law, the exact value of pi in Indiana is 3.
I don't want to say yes, because then people put a link and filler in FanPosts
It doesn’t have to be a FanPost to get my attention.

Good.
I don’t want to be the person to say “The Texans resigned Buster Davis,” and then put “Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts Go Colts.”
I use FanPosts for mini articles of mine, and FanShots for quick links. I believe that that’s what they’re supposed to be used for.

Nobody looks at FanShots
Sad but true. Just look at the number of replies compared to FanPosts. It’s like being “below the fold” on a newspaper.

Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: In my bedroom, I have 3 footballs with both Mike Vanderjagt's and Gilbert Gardner's signatures on them. Interesting story. Maybe I'll tell you about it sometime.
