The Colts Training Staff

Ok, its 4 in the morning before my big organic chemistry test and I hit my limit on studying reactions and playing with little plastic model kits.  I then went to start on a physiology project due next week that has me reading medical articles having to do with the tearing of ligaments and tendons and the findings that were reported.  I was reading an article when I noticed one of the sources was from the American College of Sports Medicine, so I went to their site thinking that I could get some valuable material for my project.  While navagating this site I found out that their HQ is in Indianapolis, Indiana.  This leads me to this question, with the largest collection of doctors specializing in sports medicine in the Colts' backyard why does the Colts training staff suck so much.  One would think that Jim Irsay would hire a better training staff with so many experts so close.  I hope you guys find this as ironic as I did in the wake of the bursa sac conspiracy that happened over the lasts season.

Hmm.

Interesting. You raise a good question…

I personally, refer to them as the Colts Medical Staph…

INJURY CANCER

Some teams have the injury bug…we have the injury cancer! It never goes away!…No, really, for a team that mostly practices in shorts and without big hits, how come we have like 5 times more injuries than the Steelers, for example?! It pisses me off EVERY YEAR…

Maybe it’s because they practice in shorts and don’t take big hits. Some ‘tougher’ teams (i.e. Steelers) have a stricter practice regimen than we do. Maybe that makes them better prepared. Just a thought.

Stretching and conditioning

So many injuries can be prevented with those two things.

The Steelers were pretty injured this past season.

And, really, I think we’ve been pretty lucky with the exception of the past two seasons. So, HOPEFULLY, we will have better luck during the upcoming season. =D
