Marshawn Lynch "nuh nuh nuh ... gone" for first 3 games of 2008

There's a 1 in 8 chance that would include the Bills game against the Colts (their week 1 game is against the Pats on MNF), but I mostly just wanted to reference and direct you to Marshawn's blog postings. (via KSK)

When a guy is suspended,

Can he practice with the team? And if not, and he is suspended for the first three games, can he practice in preseason and just then take the next three weeks off? Either way, it is safe to assume he will be rested but rusty for his first game back as well, having not been really hit for 9 months and no team practices for three weeks. Depending on his work ethic, that might include fat, sloppy, and out of shape, too (though I like him as a runner and get the impression he’s not like that). Maybe LenDale White can take him on a tour of his favorite fast food joints.

So our odds improve if you add in “getting a rusty Lynch” to the mix. say 3 games out of 15 or a 20% chance, up from the initial 12.5% chance.

Jeez, I must really be bored to be doing this kind of projection. I should probably do something productive like fly to Costa Rica so Gisele’s body guards can rough me up. MAN! is that Brady sensitive about people taking unauthorized pictures. You’d think he of all people would be more forgiving….

I got the impression

that Marshawn was owning up to his actions, but he’ll neither be an absolute beast nor a wallflower when he returns. I agree with “rested but rusty,” but the guy has so much natural talent I wouldn’t chalk that up to a huge advantage. But of course, I’m a bit partial to him and everything he did for Cal…

Good guy

Bad situations. I saw a few interviews with him during his rookie year. He really gave off the impression that he was a pretty decent guy at heart, but not the brightest dude. Sometimes it’s hard to try to wash your hands of the people you grew up with.

I feel bad for the guy. He may be one of the only guys that isn’t a dick that ends up being kicked out of the league because of the shining examples recently.

Jim Sorgi runs a 4.6 40. That's all I've got to say about that.
