Sproting News Gives Colts draft a D

Not sure who Clifton Brown is, but, he can't be too bright, he is grading the colts draft a as a D, what a dumbass.

Every once in a while you see a 'taliking head' criticize the Bill for some of his draft selections; it doesn't much any more because the BP will make you look like a Dumbass. I'm sure you remember reading the Marlin Jackson selection,' was a reach, not a true 1st rounder, not an NFL corner will have to convert to saftey'; oops he seems to be doing fine. BP has had great success with most of his 1st rounders and considered one of the great NFL personal men.

This guy gave them a D but didn't really justify it, what a dumbass.

Indianapolis Colts: D

Running bck Donald Brown is a complete player, and backs have a history of doing well in Indy. Bill Polian has a great track record with late-round picks. Defensive tackle Fila Moala better be an overachiever because the Colts need help stopping the run.

At least he is honest.

Bill P has made so many commentators/analysts put their foot intheir mouths that it is not even funny anymore.

Terrible

what is the point of the draft??

1. address and fill needed position upgrades on the team – CHECK
2. find talented players that will improve both offense and defense – CHECK
3. consistently field a team that has the chance to go to the playoffs and contend for a SB – CHECK
4. find and select players that fit the vision (system) of your team – CHECK

i know there are dozens of other things, but giving BP & Co a D is downright stupid

I would like to see Chad Ocho Cinco traded to a team that already has a #85 on the roster. Then, I would like to see #85 refuse to give up his jersey number to Chad Ocho Cinco. That would make my day....

You have to remember we're homers

So we probably have a better appreciation of what the team needs, more faith in Polian and – most critically – are more optimistic about how the Colts players will go. Look at the analysis of the draft on this site – almost every pick is hailed as good, and every player we’ve selected will play. History shows us that even Polian only hits .500 or so on drafting players who are in the league longer than three years. So at least half this draft, on average, will be gone.

I think he’s underrating our draft, but not by as much as a lot of you.

I'm tired of draft grades...

I think we should hear critics when those players are 2 year veterans..not when they are 1-day-of-minicamp “veterans”

he goes back and re-grades his own draft grades. the link in the first response is a link to walter regradeing the 05 draft, he originally gave the colts an F that year and changed to a B three years later.
