Solid proof of Indy's awesomeness
Hey guys I was wondering if any of you could supply me with some good solid facts that i could use in conversation when talking about football to prove that Indy really is a good, talented, awesome team. All I can come up with quickly are the obvious : "We won super bowl xli", or "Peyton Manning is the best Quarter back ever". Simple stuff like that, I know I should know more. (2008 was the first time I started watching football )
But anyways I was hoping for info that was more solid, so anything is appreciated.
hopefully this message make sense.

Another unique record
A 7 game win streak in each of the past 5 seasons (2004-present)
DID SOMEONE SAY CHAMPIONSHIP
Let me count the ways...
1. In each of the past 11 seasons, the Colts have ranked in the top 6 in the league in passing yards, and have ranked #1 twice in that span.
2. The Colts have won their division in 6 of the past 10 seasons, and have been to the playoffs in 9 of the past ten seasons, and in 7 straight seasons.
3. The Colts have either owned or tied for the first or second best regular season record four times over the past 10 seasons.
4. In 2008 the Colts allowed the fewest passing TDs over the course of a 16 game season, by any team, ever.
5. Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis are both in the top 25 for active career sacks. They are two of only four players (the other two being Julius Peppers and DeMarcus Ware) under the age of 30.
6. Peyton Manning is the only player in the top 25 for active career consecutive starts under the age of 33, and is the active leader in that category among QBs (assuming Favre stays retired).
7. Though not a Colt anymore, Marvin Harrison is the NFL’s active receptions leader, and is second on the career receptions list all time. He did all of his work in Indianapolis.
8. Reggie Wayne is 16th on the active receptions list, and is one of only two players (Chad Ochocinco being the other) who is under the age of 31.
9. Adam Vinatieri is the active leader in playoff games played with 23.
10. In 2004, at the age of 24, Dwight Freeney shared the NFL sack crown with 16 sacks. Only three players in history have led the league with more sacks at 24 or younger: Richard Dent (1984), Derrick Thomas (1990) and Shawne Merriman (2006).
Give me a boring night at home with a sleeping toddler and pro-football-reference.com and I could go on forever.
