Around SBN: Knicks 90, Raptors 87: "Shump and Lin wouldn't let us lose."

Aaron Wilson at PFT claims they might be. They certainly have enough cap space to spare since Marv is looking for some cizash. The Bucs are also rumored to have interest in just about every other WR out on the market as well. I'll keep you informed.

Haha, I say that like I have some inside source. Or do I?

Yet another proof that the Fanpost vs Fanshot distinction is bogus and needs to go away. Even the guys with the right to post directly on the main page don’t read the Fanshots.

On the contrary...

I think the fanshots need to be utilized more often. It’s annoying to spend a great deal of time on fanposts, which some or many of the fanposts require, only to have them pushed off of the front page by entries which should be in the fanshots section. Fanposts are more like “fan submitted articles” while fanshots are more like “links” and that sort of thing. “Hey guys, check this out over here.” Maybe the placement of the fanshots could be better? I dunno. Just thinking out loud.

Placement of fanshots

I’ve made that argument before. It’s just human nature: people look at the stuff on top first and often don’t make it down to the bottom of the page. In the newspaper business, writers want their stories to be “above the fold.” Unless they are moved (perhaps have fanposts on the left of the main stories and fanshots on the right?), or unless somebody can find a way to re-program human nature, fanshots will always get less attention.

Here's an idea

How about the area to the right listing fanshots and fanposts together, in some sort of order of posting/popularity? When you log into Facebook, it doesn’t list every form of update separately and that seems to work well. Tell the web team.

I also wish I had time and motivation to blog at Speed Blue Nation

Comments on PFT thread.........

Man, some of those replies to the thread are downright vicious. I think Harrison has a couple of productive years left. I hope he gets a shot somewhere.
