DraftGuys.com give us Colts rookie Adrian Grady in all his YouTube glory

Two years ago, Bill Polian found a rookie free agent gem in Ed Johnson (DT, Penn State). Last year, Polian found another rookie free agent gem, Eric Foster (DT, Rutgers). This year, his annual DT free agent gem could be Adrian Grady (DT, Louisville). From DraftGuys.com, posted on YouTube:

Again, the more we look into this crop of new Colts DTs, the more excited we get about 2009!

Excellent

I’ll add this video clip to my stack of training materials for my 8 year-old who starts in a tackle league next fall. He loves playing DL and “tackling” RBs and QBs in the backfield, but there’s little satisfying bang at the end of a play in a flag football league.

Back to Grady—he looks fairly mean. Hands to the face and all in practice? Are we sure he wasn’t playing LT for San Diego against us last year…?

I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.

Grady is a STEAL

As a louisville fan who watched Grady during his tenure there, he is an absolute steal for the colts. Under the Petrino era, he was fantastic in limited PT (behind guys like Okoye now for the Texans), and then when an incompetent head coach took over and proceeded to drive UofL football into the ground, he was one of the few bright spots. He goes hard ALL the time, never lets up, is a great person, and although he doesn’t a Freeney-esque skill set, he gets the job done. I would not be surprised to see him in an Eric Foster type role next season. Excellent move by Polian and the staff. We will not be disappointed.

You know SB Nation has a Louisville Cardinals blog

Not to pimp an SB Nation site too much but our Cardinals blog is really good: http://www.cardchronicle.com/

SB Nation's Indianapolis Colts blogger at Stampede Blue. Please make an account and post a diary, add some comments, and make some noise. Accounts are free, and only require an email address.

definitely excited about this guy

No one ever has all their rookies pan out, but we’ve really got four DT’s with a good chance of being successful. You have to think that at least 2 will become really good players for us and there’s a chance that 3 of them will. Grady could definitely be one of those guys.
