That's shitty
the system is fucked up when people have to quit their job to help their personal finances.

Completely agree,
penalizing someone for long and distinguished service is completely wrong.

Hopefully if Polian can't change his mind
he’ll be able to sell “at least come back as highly paid consultant Howard Mudd”
a loophole that enabled a tenured assistant coach who hit the 75 formula to retire and take a lump sum only to return to a team as a high-paid consultant.

After 12 years..
You know what…so what. There’s lots of games I wanted to come through the TV screen and assault Tom Moore and Howard Mudd. After 12 years, and with their assistants in the offing. Let the new blood take what they learned and apply their own changes. All these big DTs coming in are a fine example.
Let them go. The offense line couldn’t open the holes. Let’s give the young guys a chance. Mudd has reached the point in his life where his personal concern line has intersected his professional concern line. It’s only rock-n-roll, baby!
crap crap crap
…crap.
The play of the O-Line is extremely important in the success of the offense, and the loss of Mudd could have an awful impact on OL performance…

doesn’t look like too bad of a replacement and has been with the colts since 2004. i’m confident that he will be a solid replacement.
