Indy fans go from hating Belichick to "just kinda not liking him."
It's funny. We received some of the same feeback about Peyton that we heard after Bill Belichick (Colts nemesis and Pats head coach) came on our show in October. Colts fans called then and said that Belichick seemed ""nice." He said things they never heard before. That they kinda went from "hating him to just kinda not liking him." Bascially we humanized him. We made him real. (And he's NOT a bad guy. He's a great guy). We try to show different sides of folks on the show. I don't think you get that a lot of places.
And with Peyton last week it was the same thing. We had some regular callers who for whatever reason didn't like Peyton before the show, called and emailed us afterwards telling us they NOW liked him. Liked what he said. Liked how he came across. He was comfortable. Easy to listen to, easy to talk to. Thought he was a good guy.

I still don't understand how anyone could not like Peyton...
especially the people who listen to 1070. They are Colts’ fans are they not?

I’m pretty sure Eddie is a Colts fan. But as for Kravitz, I think thats up for interpretation. He thinks Brady is better than Peyton, so, I think he is not a Colts fan, and also an idiot.

Kravitz
Definitely not a Colts fan. And definitely an idiot.

He should be covering another team
in another city far, far away… CFL, perhaps? Or maybe Bosnia…? If they want to move the SB to London (WAY WRONG) shouldn’t there be a team in Europe even if it is Eastern Europe? But I digress…
Kravitz is an idiot. My favorite is when he contradicts himself within the same week. He makes John Kerry seem stable.
What I was surprised to learn was that listeners had called in and admitted to disliking Peyton…I mean, Colts’ FANS not liking Peyton? He is only the most awesomest NFL player/person. ;-)

Funny post. Love it.
About Manning, though (the serious part), I recently became aware that he was unpopular to some Colts fans, more than I expected. That blows my mind. Granted the vast majority of us love him to death, but I don’t understand how any one person who loves this team couldn’t be his biggest fan. He turned it all around for us, made people stop thinking of Indy as that crumby team whose former owner was a jerk, and made Indy a very popular football team nationwide. He is a big reason we have a new stadium today. He is a classic good guy, and I believe the most popular NFL player of all. With that fame comes a larger number of detractors, but that shouldn’t be from any Colts fans.
I was at Lucas Oil Stadium yesterday. They were setting up for a big event that Peyton is hosting inside for his children’s hospital. Gotta love the man.

Oh, and Peyton's event is today.
And that stadium rocks!

Would love to see the Lube in person one day.
Preferably while Peyton is still playing.
Those fans are probably the same ones who wanted to run him out of town after the 2005 season. I still don’t understand why he took the blame in some peoples’ eyes…
And what he does for the state of Indiana, Louisiana and Tennessee is nothing short of remarkable. Its awesome that he tries to make kids’ lives better. You can tell he really cares. He’s a good person – a character trait that I find beyond admirable.

every city seems to have at least one
The “home-town” writer that always hate on the home-town team. Ron Borges is our resident hater. I think it makes him feel smarter than the masses, pointing out all the flaws on the team – even when they win, and only sparing, grudging respect when it can’t be ignored.
Keep the faith!

Wasn't Borges the one who plagurized an article?

most classless coach in the NFL...
he may be a smart coach, but he has almost no class and that in turn penetrates into the core of the New England franchise as a whole.. as they say, it starts at the top…
Just watch his post game comments in the AFC championship when we beat them patsies… he is a joke..
so for those who no longer “HATE” him.. good for you guys, hate is a strong word anyway… but I personally despise him

Meh.
I will agree about the classlessness. His slight to Peyton after the AFCCG was wrong. whatever.

Poor Marima
Her ambassage of good will has been so poorly received. Apparantly the increased acceptance of Bill Belichick did not com from many who frequent this site.
