Ok, I know absolutely NOTHING about baseball
What teams are playing? I can see one is a New York team (no idea who). What is the other one?

The Washington Nationals
Formerly the Montreal Expos. But trust me, I’m not sure most people know who the Nationals are outside of the D.C. area since they’re on pace to possibly have the worst record of all-time.

Yankees and Nationals.
I start watching after the Allstar break…it helps that last 30 or so days until the season starts pass a little more quickly…

I think if I were to watch baseball
It would only rub in how much I miss football. I drown my woes in the AF2.

Must be a Barnstormers fan
It's not that I'm lazy, Bob, it's just that I don't care
I believe Eli was there too, for what it's worth
"If you don't [draft me], I promise you I'll come back and kick your ass for the next 15 years."
Maybe its a "guy thing"
my son’s graduation photos are eerily similar…hmmm..

I certainly hope you are not saying there is anything wrong with that....
Better than being a Nats fan. And MUCH better than being (cough cough gag) a Bosox fan. Think Tom Curran, Bill Simmons, “Fitzy” on youtube, etc.
Some fans are born to it (my grandfather played cards with Phil Rizzutto and Yogi Berra) and some have it thrust upon them (my old apt was a 20 minute subway from The Stadium but 75 minutes to Shea). So not all Yankee fans are evil.
And, sad to say, it’s even better than being a Pirates fan (my first baseball love) since they haven’t broken .500 in 18 seasons. Gulp. Go pirates!
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.
Angels, here...
Best record in baseball last year…which obviously didn’t help in the playoffs…(sigh) story of my life. Next are the Yanks, gotta love Jeter! Oh yeah, my husband is from there…so…osmosis (and Jeter, heh heh) and most importantly: Down the (Red) Sox!

Dodgers fan here
I look forward to getting waxed in the upcoming Angels/Dodgers series as always. I wish Interleague play would die.
Hey.
You guys are playing pretty well…even without “Manny’s just being Manny” – Angels, not so much this year. Letting Teixeira go was a HUGE mistake.
It would be just wrong to root for the Dodgers, BUT I do love Joe Torre…once we’re out of it, I just may start .

Yeah
I’m having a lot of fun this year. Hopefully I can still be watching them come November, but I can’t get too excited just yet. I’m worried about the Phillies.
Angels are only two back and have been playing well the past few games, they’ve still got a chance to at least get a trip to the postseason. Once you’re there, anything can happen.
Well, good luck
and
GO COLTS!!!!!!!

Braves fan
I’m going to law school down in Atlanta and was never a huge Cubs or Sox fan, so I’ve adopted the Braves. They’re very frustrating, but I’ve been to eight games already this summer. I’ve met enough Yankee and Red Sox fans to hope neither of them ever win another World Series. But oh well. No hate for Colts fans no matter what baseball team they like. Priorities.
Go Reds!

Maybe
He’s friends with Jeter. Jeter was in town the night before the AFCCG in 06 and I saw him out. I am assuming Peyton invited him to a suite to watch the game.
"The painting was a gift, Todd. I'm taking it with me."
Your son
Has a five-head also?
Actually, that’s how my 4 year-old smiles when told to smile for a photo. It’s a challenge to catch him actually smiling naturally.
But the bigger question is, what are Peyrton and (is that the missus?) watching? Clearly the guys next to him are not watching or caring about the same thing. I really, really, truly hope it is not those cheesey interstitial inning-fillers with blooper clips of painful plays. How many times can one see Jose Canseco getting beaned on the head and ball bouncing over the fence for a HR? Okay, about a million, bad example.
But the other clips are just trash. I say this because if 18 is actually watching one of those and paying enough attention to grimace in empathy for somebody who missed a grounder and got nailed in the giblets 25 years ago…. well, I might start rooting for Vince Young or something.
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.
oops
the above was in response to Marima’s comments about his/her son’s photos.

I think we are all going to ignore that VY comment.

He looks like he just saw a replay of himself getting sacked.
Great picture. But I would crop Ashley out.

I like her too
I always wonder when they’re going to start a family.

I heard a rumor
That Peyton and Ashley are getting divorced. I don’t think it’s true, but you never know.

Naw..
that rumor has been floating around for years…just a rumor, I hope.

That's not true.
Who would be crazy enough to divorce Peyton?

Have you seen the portrait of Ashley
It’s been floating around the web. She’s wearing a flowery dress, holding a football.
"I throw, you catch, it's not that hard."
Yeah, pretty cool.
I respect any woman who is strong enough on her own to be married to Peyton. He’s pretty friggin’ focused on his job during the season. (slight understatement)

I Didn't Use To
Call it jealousy or whatever But then I read an article in a local magazine and she seems really cool. She’s down to earth and truly understands the ups and downs of being a star QB’s wife. And she allows him to just be him and do the QB thing without being needy and clingy. Their little love story is kind of sweet too. I’m a sucker for that stuff.

Hey, you don't go around cropping Memphis girls out of pictures, LovinBlue!
I stick up for my fellow Memphians! ;-)

wow a pic with ashley in it. people make fun of peyton but I think people need to respect how he has kept his wife out of things. always admire the other half and not trying to be in the spotlight or camera hungry but still classy.
go astros and pirates. sorry but I loved the “we are family” and roberto clemente is one of my all-time favorite players and how I became a pirates fan. of course they stink. but then so did the colts at one time. nobody can call me a bandwagon fan EVER
anti-bandwagoneers unite!
I assume Clemente and I sharing a first name was part of my early affinity for the Pirates—it’s about the same time I got stuck in the Colts. As for the Yankees, I bought season tix in 1994 when they were emerging from a period of putridity, but just hired Torre (I may be a year off there).
But living in NY, I was appalled as Mets and Giants fans seemed to seep from the woodwork in 86 when the teams started doing well. A year before they couldn’t tell you which ball was round and which one was pointy, and suddenlty they are spouting stats and cheering for guys they never before knew existed. I hate bandwagoneers.
I sometimes worry that, if I team I liked won a few championships in a row would I start casting about for an underdog to root for…. Didn’t happen in baseball because I liked both the Yanks and Pirates—Yin, meet Yang. But in football…. I hope to have that problem to worry about some day, and to overcome my urge to root for an underdog.
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.
Whoa whoa whoa…hold the phone. That’s Peyton’s wife?!
Jeez Louise, Peyton is the man!
Yeah, so I sold out, do something about it! Like read my site Colts Chatter.
