Holdout Questions
I've seen some headlines about contract holdouts, as well as rookie signings. This made me think of a few questions I'd like to pose.
Have the Colts signed any rookies yet?
Have the Colts ever been negatively effected by rookie holdouts (or whatever the proper term is)?
Are there differences between rookie and veteran holdouts, in terms of how it affects practice?
Well, I have some more questions, but I have to get back to work. Thanks for any replies...

Well...
1. Paul K. keeps a running list of these and the short answer is no, the Colts haven’t. The long answer has to do with the fact that we never sign rookies until just before training camp and that’s the plan….blah blah blah…boring stuff. So, no, we haven’t.
2. The last rookie holdout to my knowledge is Bob Sanders. I believe, without looking it up, that he missed training camp that year because of the holdout.
3. I would have to assume that veteran holdouts hurt the team more than rookie holdouts, because obviously veterans have been with the team more and their absence will break rhythm more. That’s just what makes sense to me; I don’t have any actual evidence to back it up.
4. Your welcome.

No
The Colts normally always wait until the last minute to sign rookies. it drives fans crazy, but in the end Polian gets things done
