ESPN at it again with Harrison

Typical ESPN at it again on a report claiming a second man filing a suit against Harrison.  Here's the link:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4359721

This long article goes on and on about the claim and the incident that Harrison was "allegedly" involved in.  When they mentioned how Harrison was not charged by Philadelphia District Attorney Lynne Abraham , they flipped it  thereafter and mentioned how a police "source" claims that Nixon's statements were consistent when he eventually started cooperating and that they had much confindent in his account.  Please see the following quotes:

A Philadelphia man who claims he was caught in the crossfire during a shooting rampage by Marvin Harrison is suing the former All-Pro wide receiver, saying that a bullet fired by Harrison is still lodged in his back.

But a law enforcement source who has seen Nixon's statements to police disagrees. The source told ESPN that while certain elements of Nixon's story changed, his identification of Harrison remained consistent after he began cooperating. Indeed, police were so confident in his account that they placed him in protective custody for two weeks last spring. Nixon left the custody voluntarily.

Harrison, a 13-year NFL veteran with possible Hall of Fame credentials

Can anyone tell me the difference why ESPN would make such a large report on a suit against Harrison on an incident that happended over a year ago but yet no charges were filed and the small "hesitant" report on Big Ben and a suit filed against him rapping another women?  ESPN is very inconsisent with their reporting and has lost much credibility when it comes down to that.

Just saw this

It’s amazing the terrible double standard with Harrison in comparison to Ben.

Harrison with a gun in both hands

That’s a 20 out of 10 on the badass scale.

Also, Ben Roethlisberger raped me and then Marvin Harrison shot me. Where do I get my check?

Nixon!?!?

I thought that creep last name was Dixon?

Anyway, possible Hall of Fame credientals. The man has 128 total touchdowns along with more than 1000 receiving yards in 8 seasons, with 3 seasons of 1500+ yards. His numbers blow Michael “Cocaine” Irvin out the water. Irvin only has the upper hand in the playoffs where has scored more tds in fewer playoff games than Marvin and has 2 more rings than him.

And another thing, if ESPN wants to make this a “character” issue. Let’s not forget that Irvin stabbed a teammate in the neck because he wouldn’t get out of the barber chair while Harrison’s gun was used to shoot a convicted felon who had been causing trouble at his place of business.

ESPN is out to get Marv since he never gave them anything to talk about like T.O. and Ocho Stinko, and the fact that Coach Dungy made the comment about the Colts selecting the “good” guys. Now they feel they rub Marvn’s incident in Dungy’s face. ESPN is straight garbage.

In the suit, Robert Nixon, 33, claims he saw Harrison shoot at another man with guns in each of his hands on April 29, 2008

So, apparently Harrison is not only a Ninja, but Rambo as well. Talk about a scary combination.

Yeah, so I sold out, do something about it! Like read my site Colts Chatter.

Harrison hates people with a last name ending in -ixon

Beat me to it

Just saw this on the bottom line on Sportscenter. I turned it on to see a recap of Willingham for the Nationals hit two grand slams (pretty rare), and saw this crap scroll across the bottom. He was never a suspect in this case. The accuser, in fact, was found guilty of lying to the police about it. Now he is again. Where in the F**K does BSPN get off trying to pass this off as a potential factual story when they don’t say a damn word about Big Ben until about three days after the incident? Let’s give the Northeast, big market quarterback a pass while we wrongfully accuse an innocent man…..for the SECOND F**KING TIME?

Wow. Just wow. Maybe someone on here that has a law background can tell me, but can’t ESPN technically be sued for defamation of character? Screw ESPN. Seriously.

And for the record

I believe Roethlisberger is 100% innocent, but it just irks me that they gave him the benefit of the doubt (which I have no problem with, but…) and seem to have an all-out vendetta against Marvin Harrison. They said he wasn’t the most media-friendly guy and I really don’t blame him.

I think Marvin should leave Philly

Move to Indy and be our “consulting” WR/Coach.

Yeah, I can see it now...

The WR’s look to him on the bench before they take the field, down by 2 TD’s at halftime, and ask, “Coach Marvin, what should we do? The secondary’s eating us alive out there!”
To which Marvin responds by looking them straight in the eyes, like this:

And says absolutely nothing…. The WR’s then take the field, catch a one-handed touchdown pass apiece and the Colts sweep past the opposing team for an easy victory…

I Just L'dMAO! Seriously it's gone.

Marvin looks like a bad ass in that picture. I can really imagine him as a two fisted gun-slinger.
