50 td's my as... It's STILL Peyton's record

READ THIS WHOLE SHIT IF YOU'RE A TRUE COLTS FAN IT WILL BRING YOU TEARS OF JOY OR JUST TEARS BECAUSE YOU CAN'T BELIEVE YOU READ ALL THAT :)

Every single time I hear the single touchdowns season record now belongs to  some quaterback (whose name will not be mentioned), I can't resist but to hate that quarterback even more than the devil himself, and it's mostly due to the fact that some fans (of a certain team that will not be mentioned) are just a bunch of ignorant people, who when tried to explained to that the record still belongs to Manning, they're brain quickly erases what they have just heard or seen and bring up old shit like this team and this quarterback have won this many SuperBowls. I always think to myself how come they don't bring old shit like when that team used to suck; because once again they're undeveloped brain erases that memory from they're mind and think it never happened. US like TRUE COLTS FANS never hide the fact that our team was just one loss away from sucking just as bad as the 08 Lions and not just that one season many times; but trued colts fans from then still cheered on our team and still do. As I expected that instead of talking about what the blog was intended to discuss my mind just blacked out and wrote all that shit  BECAUSE IT'S TRUE. So I guess I should start discussing what I intended to do in the first place.

Star-divide

A lot of us know that Peyton broke the record in that game against the Chargers by throwing probably the most beautiful wobbly pass to Brandon Stokley (who I still wish was with the Colts) way before he even made his brake, and it was week 16 that's right one more game to go in the season, and the next and last game of the season Peyton only threw two passes and no touchdowns against the Broncos, that's right the Broncos who in the playoffs Peyton would totally destroy by completing 27 of 33 passes for 458 yards and four touchdowns dam right. Imagine if Peyton had played week 17 he would have effing blown the record out of reach the Colts starters were hot by the end of the season I could possibly say Peyton could have thrown for AT LEAST 400 yards and 6 touchdowns the most; he could have broken two great records, yards in a single season and the touchdown record and set it at 55 but no Peyton did it for three reason 1. He's a classy player 2. He didn't want to possibly get hurt and 3. Because he wouldn't have wanted to destory the Broncos in that game.

A lot of times I hear "yeah man but the 'Quarterback' had a game in which he didn't throw a touchdown too" and there was in week 15 against the Jets, but he didn't throw a touchdown because of one simple reason HE SUCKS. The "Quarterback" by pure dumb luck and quite possibly a deal with the devil barely broke the record against the Giants the same team that beat they're ass in the SuperBowl; He had to play the whole entire game, a game that years before didn't really mean shit to Manning cause he had already broken the record. The reason why I wanted to post this besides bringing tears of joy from Colts fans that someone brought the truth and facts up again and making the "team's" fans brain overload and exploded leaving fragments of their brain scattered all over their parents basement. The reason was because I'm suprised to say that many Colts fans didn't know this well know you do so thank you for being a fan of the greatest team in the world THE INDIANAPOLIS COLTS.

P.S. Also Edgerrin had freaking 15 hundred yards rushing and nine touchdowns and Manning was still able to do all that shit with a great running back in the backfield.

bravo sir

well put, all around excellent points…..a lot of New England’s fans are like frightened raccoons, when they’re threatened with logic they lash out with the only thing they’ve been taught be ESPN…..that SuperBowls are the most important thing ever.
Another amazing thing about that season is that he SAT the entire second half of the Thanksgiving game against Detroit!!! he had more TD’s than incompletions in that game!! I just think that it’s funny how NE had to leave Brady in against teams like Buffalo, Miami, etc….. in the 4th quarter when they were ALREADY up by 30 and he’s STILL throwing the ball…..and only got it by one, hilarious

by harbaughmyhero on Jul 30, 2009 6:51 PM EDT reply actions

Nice job!

I recently watched an interview with Peyton after he broke the 49. He said he sort of felt bad about doing it. Basically words to the effect of not wanting to break a record held by one of his favorites of all time (his dad and Johnny U were the others). I think THIS is the reason he didn’t destroy that record. RESPECT. He could have, as you pointed out, EASILY threw for 55 TDs. EASILY.

So, when some chowdah head tries to throw that one at me, I just smile. Cause, really, what else can a sane person do? I mean, I’d like to punch them in the nose, but I can’t. I know the truth. And every time we beat those bahstahds, it makes my year.

Thannk You

harbaughmyhero and peytonsthebest I put alot of thought on that, and also i forgot to add that the “team” was in the shittiest division a “good” team could have ended in. if he colts had division rivals that bad i wonder what amazing stuff they could have made

Crappy division with a cake schedule that year.

exactly

the colts have it more difficult cuz evryone knows they r better n dnt want them to go 19-0 every freakin year

by 805 on Jul 30, 2009 7:11 PM EDT up reply actions

Great job

But you can sum it up this way,

in 81 fewer passes, Manning threw for ONE fewer touchdown, had a YPA one yard higher, YPC one point five yards higher, and a passer rating FOUR points higher. Anyone who thinks that Brady’s year was better is ridiculous.

Nothing you said was wrong, but it’s crap like this that gives Colts fans a bad name. This is the kind of drivel I’d expect from a Pats fan. “READ THIS WHOLE SHIT” is right. With emphasis on the last word.

Let’s not forget that points scored is another of the admittedly-lower-on-the-list playoff eligibility/seeding tie-breakers. You can hate it all you want and blame teams for being poor sports and running up the score, but the system encourages / reinforces the behavior. That said, I’ve heard of opposing teams being more offended when the other team eases up after they’re ahead so much. In this case, the Pats were simply risking injury or exhaustion for their own players, so while I don’t like to see players get hurt, it’s their choice frankly.

It goes both ways, too. Let’s not forget a certain game in Week 5 last year, with Indy down 27-10 with 8 minutes left. We scored 21 points in under six and a half minutes with great skill and a couple of lucky breaks. This is what happens when you keep playing the game and don’t let back on the throttle. Imagine if WE had been up by 17 points with that little time left and took Peyton out… and Rosenfels had had a miracle day? We’d be screaming for Dungy’s head!

Do I prefer the Colts’ approach to not risk injury and to take starters out of the game when it’s fairly clear the game is in hand? Yes. Will I pretend to take the high road and not relish pummelling the opponent into oblivion? No.

How can you not love a team that does this?

Colts fans have a bad name?

that’s news to me, I’ve always kind of thought it’s been the Northeasterners (New England fans) that had the bad name…..ya know publishing books like “19-0, how we did it” the week BEFORE the SuperBowl, seems a little classless eh?

by harbaughmyhero on Jul 30, 2009 7:22 PM EDT reply actions

No, but if they all posted tripe like this they would. Colts fans have a rep for being generally well behaved and intelligent, relative to most other fan bases. This doesn’t really fit those categories.

What I should’ve said is that it just gives opposing fans ammunition to use if they want to pick fights.

Here's the thing

Very few fans have a bad name. And this post DOES not give us a bad name. The patriots don’t have a very bad name, although many people don’t like them. But I had no idea that they PUBLISHED A BOOK the week before the superbowl. That’s a very classless and asshole-ish thing to do (that’s a word, right?). Maybe the Giants should publish a book called “18-1: how they screwed it up” I would LOVE to read that book!

by Colts_and_Cavs_in_09! on Aug 1, 2009 9:45 PM EDT up reply actions

just a sidenote

the 19-0 book was not published before the Super Bowl (or after obviously). Just like the Giants had a book offered touting them as Super Bowl champs that same year before the game, and the Steelers last year, the books were under contract to be written after the outcome and were just on Amazon for any customer wanting to pre-order it.

Keep the faith!

Good point.

But I still prefer that the town adopts the classic attitude of not even talking about a parade or anything like that until after the championship game for fear of jinxing the home team.

I agree that Peyton's stats were better that year...

however, as a general rule it’s hard to argue against 3 championships. Regardless, of what team it is you support. Big Ben doesn’t have great stats, but he’s got 2 rings. Not to mention that he is quickly becoming one of the most clutch QB’s in NFL history. Peyton certainly is the most prolific, and with a SB, 3 MVP’s, and possibly another run at the SB this year. The only problem with your argument is that the record book doesn’t allow for bias when it comes to the stats. It’s still gonna say that Brady owns the record, and that will remain true until Peyton or someone else changes it.

by JagsCub on Jul 30, 2009 11:51 PM EDT reply actions

I respectfully disagree

“one of the most clutch QB’s” that statement I’ll absolutely agree with about Big Ben, but of all time? I kindly object on that one…….I think his defense and running game help him out a lot

by harbaughmyhero on Jul 31, 2009 9:11 PM EDT up reply actions

agree

the most clutch of all time is an overstatement. As far as I know, Manning is the most clutch…. wait for it… in the REGULAR SEASON. Sure, he’s not clutch in the playoffs, but maybe he’s like favre “a little kid just havin fun gunslingin’ the rock”. Most people do get antsy in the playoffs, but another superbowl, and you can all kindly shut your mouths.
