Happy July 4th from Stampede Blue

Fireworksjuly4_medium

Enjoy your grill outs, family gatherings, and (most importantly) shooting ancient Chinese rockets off into the sky and watching them explode in a cascade of colorful sparks.

Oh, and make sure you are careful with your fireworks. They can, like, blow up in your face, and stuff.

Happy 4th, everyone! GO COLTS!

Happy Independence Day

That video was AWESOME!

How can you not love a team that does this?

Eh, this is still my favorite fireworks video:

Now a proud annoyance on Stampede Blue, 18to88, Indy Football Report, and Phil B's blog.

Man, I need a life...

Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: This is the hottest commercial on TV right now. And don't forget the sequel.

We have a winner!

This video is vastly superior to the obviously faked “Homemade Fireworks” video. I mean, come on, the freakin’ light is off before the explosion and then magically on right afterward.

Microwaves: they’re not just for burritos anymore…

Fake yes,

but still the guy was funny.

"You can't defend the perfect throw, what can I say?" Peyton quoting Marino

I don't mean to be Old Timey

But can’t we at least get a Happy Birthday America, or "Thank a Servicemember ", or “Remember that Freedom is never Free”? I mean it is Independence Day, and as much as I love fireworks and cookouts, I believe it is important to remember the real meaning of the holiday(especially as someone who spent four years of his life serving this nation).

I also wish I had time and motivation to blog at Speed Blue Nation

As much as I don't desire to be agreeable with you in any way at this time,

I have to commend that. You are exactly right. I spoke to a group of a couple hundred this weekend about this and reminded us all to keep perspective this weekend. Our independence was purchased at a great price, and if we forget that we will be the worse for it. That is what Independence Day is about at its core. Remember the sacrifice and appreciate our nation’s liberties. I hope everyone is having a great 4th of July weekend.
