Stampede Blue is the #8 NFL Blog on Internet, #1 SB Nation Blog

Via Music City Miracles, here's a list that reveals Stampede Blue as the #8 NFL Blog on the Internet. Also of note is that Stampede Blue is the top NFL Blog on SB Nation. Having been a member here since April Fools Day, it's not that hard to believe. Here's a few other interesting things I noticed from the list:

  • 18 of the top 30 blogs are SB Nation blogs. That's just incredible. SB Nation really created a blogging empire here.
  • As much as I hate Mike Florio, his profootballtalk.com is #1 on the list. Like him or not (and I don't), people still read his filth.
  • Shake's favorite site, footballoutsiders.com, makes a surprise appearance at #13. It seems to be gaining popularity.
  • The #1 overall sports blog? Fanhouse.com, a site I've never heard of before. The #2 site is one that I have heard of, Deadspin.com.

Congrats BBS, Shake, Colts Homer, MRW, mgrex03, and KR for making this site the best SB Nation Blog!

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors.

Sweet

3rd ranked team specific blog. It is also freaking hilarious that the top tag on Shutdown Corner, NFL Nation and KSK is Brett Favre. Great blogs are on this list, and it is sweet that we are #8. When I say we, I mean BBS, Shake, MRW, KR, and especially all of the readers and commenters. Good job everyone.

I also noticed that Brett Favre tag thing,

and thought that it was pretty funny.

Now a proud annoyance on Stampede Blue, 18to88, Indy Football Report, and Phil B's blog.

Man, I need a life...

Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: Joseph Addai, otherwise one as The Great Irrationally Hated One, is the first and only running back to rush for 1,000 yards in a season without starting a game in that season.

I refuse to take any credit for that. This is BBS’ baby and I think he deserves it all. Congrats BBS!

Yeah, so I sold out, do something about it! Like read my site Colts Chatter.

Amazing

What a bit of talent, some enthusiasm and some dedication can do. Take that, traditional media!

Congrats, BBS and the crew.

This is incredible

BBS has really done an amazing job assembling a lot of talent to work with, and attracting smart, passionate fans. SBN better be paying this guy well!

I also wish I had time and motivation to blog at Speed Blue Nation

Fanhouse.com

If you have been around for a while, you would know of Fanhouse.com. It was an interesting relationship between BBS and Fanhouse to say the least.

So far it looks like BBS was right

Hester wasn’t a particularly special returner (the Bears return game was good, but Daniel Manning was the one taking most of the returns for a much better average) and hasn’t been very productive or efficient as a WR all for the low low price of 5.5mil a year (and that’s if he didn’t trigger any of the 19 million in incentives in the deal)

That's big talk for a little guy,

Congratulations, guys!

SB Nation gives us a great platform to shout from. On the hockey side, the Ballhype rankings are dominated by SB Nation blogs – 24 out of the top 30…

More fun than a stick to the face!

Hester

Cost Chicago wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much $$$. It was stupid of them to pay him that much.

Nicely Done

Although I frequently disagree with some of your opinions, I think this is an absolutely terrific site and you all do a great job running it. It is always fresh and updated, with various opinions, and provides a loud and proud voice for all the Colts players, coaches, and fans, whether it is praising them, respectfully criticizing them, or defending them from the evil media empire. Keep it up.

I started reading this blog during the 05-06 season

right before our SB run. I’ll never forget that immortal post BigBlue made about how the Colts could, and would win

the whole thing. This blog is now currently my home page on my browser, I appreciate all the hard work you put in to

build this site and everyone else who have helped the community grow stronger every day!
