Antoine Bethea Injured....

Now free safety Antoine Bethea is an injury concern, too, after cracking a bone in his right hand Tuesday. Caldwell didn't sound especially concerned and said it will eventually be casted and he'll return when Bethea is used to playing with it.
Really... How many injuries can the colts have in camp. Maybe it is the afternoon practices. Maybe it is the horendous reputation of the colts medical staff. Maybe fate hates a horse.
I don't know. I just want everyone to be healthy.

bad mojo. Don’t want to put that out in the universe. We’ve had our share of injuries over the past 2 seasons, I think we’re do for some good. (types while holding breath)

those guys have lost so many key players already. Clark got his head slammed and he’ll be fine; Bethea will play with something on his hand which might interfere with his ability to make interceptions, but he’ll be fine by week one I’d bet.
Bethea had a rep as being stone handed coming out of college
and he hasn’t done too much to shed it, at least from my memories of his play.
I’m not too concerned.

Training camp injuries.
It just shows how hard these guys are practicing. No need to panic though, there’s plenty of time till the real thing starts.

Maybe this means Silva makes the roster? They can’t go into the regular season with just two safeties 100% (that’s assuming Giordano and Bullitt can make it the whole pre-season without getting hurt…I’d just hold the both of them out and let any random janitor start back there). Anyway, Silva’s supposedly had a good camp, and though I don’t think the team would normally need him, it’s looking like they’re going to need someone with the injuries piling up.
