The Madden Curse....
I know that this isn't directly related to the Colts, except that they have never had anyone grace the cover of the best sports game in history.
Some would say that is a bad thing, and that it means that we haven't had a superstar that was popular enough for that type of hype (other than the obvious). I say that it is nothing but a positive thing.
Every single season since Madden started putting someone other than John on the cover, something has happened! This year will be no exception.
Do you guys want to see Peyton on next year's cover? Do you think this curse is real?
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors.

It also didn't help that...
Mcnabb was in the Campbell’s chunky soup commercial at the same time he was on the Madden cover. He got double hexed.

Exactly!
I believe in both the Madden and the Chunky Soup curses.
I never, ever want to see Peyton to a CS commercial or be on the cover of Madden.

Didn't Ladainian Tomlinson used to do Chunky Soup commercials too?
We saw what happened to him. DeMarcus Ware, Devin Hester and a few others better watch out…
"Peyton Manning flow, I just go no huddle."
- Lil' Wayne, Put Some Keys on That
Yep.
LaDanian started as soon as McNabb (and his mom) were wrapping it up.

I think the Curse has been fading...
Vince Young kinda had a souphmore slump but it wasn’t like he had an awesome rookie year…and he did go to the playoffs… Brett Favre started really good but then got injured and the main argument there is that “he didn’t win when it counted”. If you compare it to the previous curses such as McNabb’s and Shaun Alexander’s, it’s been fading. I think this is the year that it’ll fade. I really don’t see Fitzgerald getting injured or his stats decreasing. Maybe Polamalu, though…
GO COLTS! =D
I believe it.
Before the reg. season Chargers game last year, I was worried about another rough night for Peyton. After all, 6 interceptions from the year before was hard to forget. I was watching Deal or No Deal before that game. The million dollars was in the #18 case. So I figured that was a great omen. And I actually was less worried. Well the Colts won that game. I’m just sayin’..

Deal or No Deal was such an awesome show. It crushed me to see it end.

Man, I need a life...
Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: The 57 on Heinz ketchup bottles represents the number of varieties of pickles the company once had. Why does a company have 57 varieties of pickles? Who knows.
They did an episode once with a guy from Indy.
Who was a Colts/Peyton fanatic. He didn’t win the million, but on that show the million was in the #18 case as well. I thought at the time that it must have been rigged.

I saw that.
They also had former players there (like Marshall Faulk). One of my favorite episodes.
