ANOTHER DLINE SIGNING - Colts re-sign Josh Thomas
According to John Oehser (here) the Colts have re-signed DE Josh Thomas.
I'm baffled... Not only did we sign DE Rudolph Hardie last week, DT John Gill yesterday, but now we sign DE Josh Thomas. I love the dedication to beefing up the line, but that means thicker athletes, not just MORE people. How many Dlineman can we realistically keep on the roster, 11 - 12 MAX. I love the competition for spots but seriously Polian...

did anybody get cut to make room?
Could this be a motivational ploy, similar to Tony Ugoh’s situation, to try and ramp up the productivity of some of the big, young tackles they’ve added this year?
Otherwise, this move and Gill and Hardie puzzle me a lot!
In Polian (and Caldwell) I still trust.

warm bodies
the move we made last year with all of those QB’s was the same thing.

Walter Mendenhall waived
According the “Activity feed” on Colts.com… Short lived stint with the Indianapolis Colts for Walter.

Who cares
It’s camp…they need bodies.
Or, perhaps deep in the bowels of the Colts complex they have developed a new technology that will somehow meld all these mediocre defenders into a Mutant Ogre of Defense, e.g….

At any rate, my advice is to just be happy that we have the privilege of enjoying football instead of dodging bullets or facing starvation or some such thing

He looks like a Raider fan.
But, good advice.

Nervous
I’m nervous that this might signal Brock won’t be ready for 9/13. Even worse, I’m concerned that Mathis’ “thigh bruise” might be more troubling than they’re saying. Thomas is a known quantity, knows the Colts’ system, so it makes sense in the short term.
The fault, dear Brutus, lies not in the stars, but in ourselves.

Didn’t the Star and/or Oehser say Brock is out long enough that opening day is already ruled out?
They’ve got enough other guys that they’ll be fine without him, though being down him and Big Ed will be annoying.

I think Caldwell said he should be back, but Oehser or Phil B were saying they were skeptical.
It's shocking what you can miss sometimes. The amazing color changing card trick.

The Colts have been targetng him for a long time now, even before this years draft, he was on their radar.
